if Bottas was totally out of the reckoning then it would have made sense but he's not, it was the right decision.

Bottas couldn't keep pace with the front three once Lewis was released. Imo he would only really have deserved the place back if he was constantly on Lewis' gearbox the whole time Lewis was trying to pass Raikonnen. If I was team boss (lol) I'd have said he could have the place back if he could catch back up to the leading pack.

Eh, I think it's the wrong decision made for the right reasons.
Hamilton was clearly faster, and is clearly the better driver. They should be prioritising getting him as many points as possible. That's what Ferrari are doing and it's why Vettel has a lead in the championship.
However, if they're going to push the 50/50 split, they have to be fair with it. I'm as surprised as most are that Hamilton actually did it.

of course Hamilton is the better driver but regarding today there wasn't much between them at all. Bottas was behind the Ferrari's at top speed and made little or no impact behind them while when Lewis was behind them, Vettel had damaged the car by going over the curb and in turn held up Kimi but yet Hamilton (despite having a whine down the radio) only got into DRS position once in the 15/20 laps he was chasing the slowed down Ferrari's.
Anyway admirable of him to give the place back, something he definitely wouldn't have done a few years ago

streamable.com/ajpslIdk, I think Hamilton showed he had a bit more pace when they all pulled away from Bottas by several seconds. Although tbf hard to know how much Bpttas was just hanging back and consolidating.

Yeah, class drive that. Even just judging him against Massa with the experience he has, he's had a blinder.
Ocon too.
Hamilton is just an abslute class apart though.

Hamilton saying he doesn’t care if he wins the title in Mexico has really rubbed me up tbe wrong way.
