I know it's only pre-season but Hudson-Odoi bossed Bellerin last night. Quite weird to be excited about a youth prospect at Chelsea Whenever I've watched him he always seems to get by his man, even if he miskicks it or falls over he's still getting to the ball first Definitely needs a bit more consistency in his first touch and final ball but there are all the ingredients for an effective old school wide player in there

World Cup withdrawals). There were a couple of very fast passes pinged into him with his back to goal last night that he got under control really well. In the first half he played a brilliant little chip into Morata who completely mistimed his header. It was good because it was a quick decision to play the cross, if he took a touch the defender was right on top of him. Seemed to mix up cutting inside and hitting the byline quite a bit. Electric pace as well and had a one-on-one that he couldn't get the ball out of his feet properly for the finish. Very exciting to watch, hope Sarri keeps him around. Have to say Barkley has done alright in pre-season as well. Poor decision making at times but in general kept the play ticking over pretty well in midfield and he seems to have the engine for Sarri's pressing game anyway. The dropoff in Chelsea's general play when Drinkwater is on the pitch though is incredibly noticeable.

Do you think Klopp started with the XI that will play against West Ham?

I wouldn’t have any problem with it like. Gomez at centre half is something I like. Preferably Trent will start ahead of Clyne though, and maybe Fabinho will play ahead of Wijnaldum.
Really impressed with how short the drop off is from the first choice XI to the second choice, at least in the midfield. Sturridge coming off the bench is gonna lead to a lot of teams worrying about attacking too much late on in games this season. Praying he can stay fit.

Inshallah Sturridge stays fit this year because he’s in for a better comeback season than Tom Brady.

I did ffs.
Tbf they started last season ridiculously well with Lukaku iirc scoring bucketloads iirc.
Let's hope this isn't a sign of things to come though.

Yeah they won about 5 games 4-0 in the first two months.
Other than the pen Leicester look like they could get through them quite easily. Left side is so dangerous especially up against Darmian.
