I've just watched a replay of that disallowed goal just now - should it actually have been offside?
Erikksen hits the ball back and it deflects off Silva into Aguero who was stood in an offside position. But if Silva hasn't meant to pass the ball to him, is it still deemed offside? Is it a similar rule to when a defensive player touches the ball on the way through by accident?

Think the intentional touch scenario only matters if it’s coming off a defender.

If Man City lose to the Harry Kane team without Harry Kane is football actually corrupt?

Turns out England's best goalscorer's team has started to get results and progress without leaning on him.

Seriously though, 85 points with 4 games to play and the semi finals of the champions league again.
Events last night probably make it less likely that we win anything, but this team is still the best Liverpool team I’ve ever seen. What a gang of lads.

When Sterling got that last minute "winner" I felt they were on such a mental high they were going to be unstoppable for the rest of the season. Failing in Europe again and in such heart wrenching circumstances (for them) I'm hoping may have some sort of knock on effect in tight games, plant a bit of doubt in them and put more pressure on them to get the league. Either that or Spurs have poked the bear and they're going to destroy everything in their path.

Haha your theory sounds well better than mine Simon. I think City will be flat on Saturday, but unfortunately I think Spurs will be too. With the difference in squads I just can’t see how Spurs can put a good enough XI out there to get something from a fresher Man City. Once they’ve limped over the line against Spurs, the rest will be a doddle.

Away to United is the fixture to look for dropped points.

Still sticking with my Liverpool double prediction.
I know most think Barca will beat them but I don’t think Barca are that great defensively, they’ll tear them apart at Anfield and probably on the counter at the Nou Camp. Liverpool are probably the best they’ve been defensively since Carragher and Hyypia/Agger were at the back as well.
I do think City are a much better football side but Liverpool are better at winning if that makes any sense at all. Liverpool have been below par in a lot of games this season and yet they some how manage to win, United did that so often under Ferguson.

Remember putting faith in United back in 2014 and they just rolled over and had they're bellies tickled by that City team and expecting them to do it again. Burnley at Turf Moor is the one I'm looking at though I do expect them to win all their games.

Burnley at Turf Moor is the one I'm looking at though I do expect them to win all their games. Think the key difference though is that United that year had nothing to play for. They, along with Spurs this weekend, still need to get points to finish in the top 4. So both teams have to go at City imo.
