Which City player has the best name for an Aguero moment? GUNDOGAAAAN doesn't quite have the same ring.

Seems a shame to erase Istanbul from the history books but Steven Gerrard you never existed
This was the bonus trophy, the one nobody expected us to win especially at the halfway point so I don’t actually mind that much. To get 90+ points and not win a title is ridiculous. We’re done that twice and in another era could’ve won 4 of the last 5 ourselves. It is what it is, I think it speaks to how good of a job Klopp has done since he came in that it’s even a battle. City should have the league wrapped up by mid-April every season and they haven’t had that luxury when we’ve actually been involved. I’m still really proud

Villa were never equalising anyway and I'm not really complaining before anyone takes it that way, more just discussing it but how strange was it that the ref only added 24 seconds when it seemed like Ederson was down for about 2 minutes.
Maybe it wasn't as long as it seemed though.

Sonny is actually the best player in the league and has been all season Back in October I was getting pelters off my mates for saying he's better than Haaland, he's absolutely ridiculous. Him and Salah were both miles better POTY shouts over KDB

Would be like Bundesliga Yeah but you could say the exact same thing about Pep and City. 'Imagine how shit football would be without Pep and City, preventing Liverpool from becoming the Bayern of England.' If one of them wasn't there then the other runs away with it with Chelsea finishing a little over ten points behind them. I know you're not saying this directly but I find the whole 'thank god for Klopp, he's saving English football' a bit sickly tbh.

Might have something to do with them being a sportswashing project and big chunks of the country lapping it up and not seeing it as a problem
I dunno though I’m just bitter because they’re better than us. Domestically
It’s also true, though, that City would’ve won their last five titles by an average of 20 points if not for us. Liverpool have been the only team capable of actually running them close for an entire season (Chelsea were meant to be the ones doing that but shit the bed, United are the big pretenders and Spurs fell off before they peaked) so there’s an understandable narrative that without our achievements over the last few years, the league would be looked at, rightly, as monopoly. The only time it hasn’t been a case of the richest one or two clubs winning was when Leicester won it. Even Blackburn had much more to spend than anyone bar United when they won it
City were fine to me as the novelty I thought they would be when they won in 2012 because everyone wanted to see United beaten, but they’ve continually thrown money at a title-wining squad for seasons because they frankly don’t even see the league as an accomplishment anymore and it’s the minimum for them. Our spending can be used in a similar timeframe for people to say that we’re buying success but throughout my entire life whenever Liverpool have spent big, it’s to replace an outgoing player or patch up a problem area. City just add to their squad. I’ve got no problem with that, but there aren’t many clubs that can do that within their means and the confines of FFP (including City, apparently)
Would I be saying this if it was anyone else? Maybe not. I don’t really care about the league’s reputation, it’s our domestic league so I want to win it and I’d think the same if we were the 30th most popular league in Europe. But City are likely, now that the league seems to be trying to combat sportswashing takeovers, going to have the most titles of any English club by the 40s. If you think that’s a good thing, fine. I don’t, I don’t think dominance is good for any sport but it’s all opinion really
