Didn't think that Anderlecht was capable of getting three players sent off, it looked like a Brazilian match out there with all of the red cards.

Is Dante usually better than this? He's physically imposing and has good skill on the ball but can sometimes get caught out. Definitely played poorly today for sure. He reminds me a bit of Pique, really so I would wager that people will overrate him a bit and then turn on him until he's a bit underrated.

Ukrainians bottling it again...
United needed that win, started a bit iffy but got into it. Nice volley by Phil Jones. Ashley Young's a bit shit though, should have scored or at least got that one where he lashed it with his left foot on target.

Not our best performance I've ever seen, but I'll take the win and the knockout qualification! Half thought we had bottled it after the missed penalties. That Campbell lad looks brilliant at times by the way. And that Munich match should have been great to watch. Bayern being the side to beat, City with a statement out there.

Not seen any of the highlights from tonight, so got ITV on now.
Decent win for City though, hopefully they can take that form into the Premiership now, especially since we've played them!

Pellegrini didnt realise his team was one goal away from topping the group. Would have been top with a 4-2 win on away goals as the group does Head-to-Heads

We didn't play very well but glad to see us pick up three points and topping the group, good goal from Jones as well. Hopefully we can build on this result and get a much needed win away at Villa on Sunday.

Thought that Campbell looked bright for Costa Rica in World Cup Qualifying as well...I don't know if he has much of a future with Arsenal so wouldn't be surprised if you guys came in to secure a longterm move for him.

Very uninspiring performance by us but job done. Still don't look to be a very good unit though, disjointed and lacking in confidence.

Think the media focusing on Pellegrini's 3-2/4-2 mistake is harsh, they've just beat Bayern 3-2 from 2-0 when they haven't lost in how long? Since the Arsenal game? Bit silly for me, give them credit for what they've achieved then make that point as an after thought.

Fully agree with this, even if Pellegrini had realized City needed the extra goal to top the group they could have risked conceding and getting smashed by Bayern, instead they got a 3-2 win over them. Also you'd think that it would be City's ambition to win the Champions League so one way or another they're gonna have to go out and beat the best teams in Europe anyway.

Was a lacklustre performance yesterday but somehow we got the result. Can't believe Shakhtar didn't score considering how bad Ferdinand was. Young didn't have a clue either. Whenever he got the ball he passed backwards and on the odd chance he got in a good scoring position he didn't even get his shot on target.
Could really do with a few signings in January.
