what other instances has Fowler come across as a cunt or a bit of a dickhead? Always just struck me as a slightly dim bloke

U R GAY Didn't Le Saux actually get labelled as gay quite a lot though? Like people genuinely thought he was a secret gay? Rather than Ronaldo who just is very prima-donna and who like...takes a lot of pride in his appearance or whatever.

I genuinely thought Le Saux was gay but just completely forgot about him when Hitzlsperger came out.

Players constantly do this. Wojciech tells players he shagged their daughter when facing penalties. Some take it as what it is, people like Le Saux turn into whining cuntbags. Doesn't help his cause does he? He chose to take it to heart which worsens things. If it riles someone up then do it. Le Saux getting offended despite being adamant he's straight is idiocy from him. You're giving them what they want.

I am so baffled if you can't see the difference in telling someone you shagged their daughter and giving out (over the top) homophobic abuse to people (particularly someone who is strongly rumoured to be gay).
I saw over the top because if someone called Le Saux a poof or something like the Chelsea people saying he went camping with a man then I don't really think that's like...article worthy levels of abuse. Sure it is technically homophobic but I'd think he's getting overly upset by what is still men dressing room 'banter' but things like the Fowler thing aren't just taking the piss out of someone it is next level abuse.

Because it's rumours. He must've had some doubts over his own sexuality to take offence over it.

Really?
You don't think having all your team-mates slag you off about being gay (or camp) week in week out, then having thousands of people sing that you're gay and scream it at you whenever you take a throw in would get to you, and then some twat like Robbie Fowler fouls you and decides to start taking the piss out of you more while your wife and child sit in the stadium with people calling you gay. And you don't think you would be offended or at the very least extremely pissed off?

I'd be pissed off but I wouldn't be offended because I know I'm not gay haha.
Players probably take worse than that, the likes of Ronaldo probably got the absolute piss ripped out of them for it but didn't decide to go all public outcry about it. Torres regularly had fans chanting "Fernando Torres takes it up the arse" and it didn't bother him. Instead of being catty about it he'd give them a little kicking back and laugh at them. Not tell everyone how horrible it is they're being so insensitive. Everyone knew something had happened with Fowler, so why does he need to treat it like some massive uncovering? Let's not forget that any kind of perceived diving/play-acting would also regularly see you called a poof/queer/gay back in the 90s. So he's taken that and made it as if it was just him. When the team-mates said "oh went camping?" he could have had a sense of humour and said "yeah, proper cosy few days as well, wink" and people would have laughed it off. Instead he was all "oh no it was in hotels" like that even makes it any fucking better. Then his attempts to make himself out as some kind of cultured intellectual because he didn't get involved with his team-mates also shows what an idiot he is. If you're under that pressure, you put that behind and you go on a few nights out with team-mates. Use your footballer status to pull a few birds before the rumours become widespread. Instead he was going to art galleries and shit like that. He clearly had suspicions in his own mind that he was gay and got overly sensitive to those things.
I'm not defending Fowler, if he'd done it to anyone I'd say it's wrong. But Graeme Le Saux is such an annoying, whiny gobshite about the whole "everyone called me gay" thing that I don't even have a bit of sympathy for him, because he's turned what was a moderately successful playing career into 16 year woe-is-me sob story. Fowler also apologised, seemingly a while ago. Let's not forget, he was a 24 year old barely educated lad from a rough part of the city in a period when publicity training wasn't done like it is now and homosexuality just wasn't something football would ever think of accepting.

On MOTD you can clearly tell Fowler is the guy in everyone's school that's totally illiterate and being asked to read a sentence with a semi colon is probably one of his biggest fears. Hardly surprising he's the one to be a total cunt to someone. What is this? Can't read so is a cunt? really

People on the internet labeling someone a twat for a twatty thing they done years ago shocker!
Le Saux got the piss took out of him for being a soft twat and not liking it, not for being gay. Like jimbo has said, there is a difference.
And that was an extract from his book in 2007 (?) not an article, so as he says about Fowler, I'm sure he's used dramatic license and didn't really get picked on every day or whenever there was a lull in a game.
Not defending anyone, nobody should be made to feel the way he obviously felt, and that's something that football has hopefully improved on this century.
@robbie9fowler Getting a bit of stick for something that happened when I was a kid, naive and immature..I've apologised to @graemelesaux14, he accepted 1/2
Obviously embarrassed looking back ,but sadly cannot change what happened, you learn from mistakes growing up, and that I have..

That's bollocks. I'm 25, I can guarantee you are not a grown man who should know better. (Or maybe you should know better, and do know better, but don't act better. Either way we all do things near daily we regret (Especially when we're younger) and wish we had handled them differently and better.)
When you're 38, try and remember this and ask yourself how stupid you was at 24.

Liverpool fans in defending Liverpool legend shocker i'm not defending him in relation to the Le Saux incident, just wondering why people like Sweeney, Mike and Bollo are refering to him as a cunt when he has no previous.

'no surprise it was Robbie Fowler because he's always been a cunt'kinda implies that he has some kind of prior history.
What other shocking stuff has he done in his career?
