He wasn't in Hart's line of sight and he didn't play the ball. By the current rules, as I know them, that's not offside.

he doesn't need to block his line of site to put him off Exactly. If Hart dives for it there's the chance that he hits Gouffran, so then it's just a foul by Gouffran. However, Pole Land has just posted on Twitter that the rule change in June, changed all this. So it's the wrong decision. But I don't think that should be an excuse to slaughter the ref. Slaughter FIFA for changing the rules constantly.

Honestly man. If Gouffran wasn't where he was there, It's gonna take a brilliant save from Joe Hart to keep that out anyway from Tiote.

Doesn't matter.
Nine months ago it's a world class call, right now it's gonna lead to a lot of scrutiny from people who didn't even know the rule fully in the first place, and will point to the change in June, and that's the annoying part.
Anyway, Alan Pardew is fuming, it's all good. It's fucking brilliant, in fact.

Out of interest, what exactly is it about Pardew that people dislike? He doesn't seem any different to how I remember him at other clubs, and I never had a problem with him then.

Nah it's a goal for me. Hart just has to play for that. If it hits Gouffran, then he'd know it's offside. Hart got lucky, imo.

Hart saving it or not doesn't matter.
He'd be better positioned if Gouffran isn't there and would react to the ball quicker. You can't say he wasn't saving it because it's a totally conditional argument - which is irrelevant in the first place.

Lol right decision my ass, hart wasn't saving that. See, the point's down the red path, you're going down the yellow path. re: Pardew hate. He's an absolute cretin who does nothing but chew the ear off fourth officials for the entirety of the game. It was alright when Ferguson did it because he had a bit of tactical ability. Just been seen calling Pellegrini an "old cunt". Is that acceptable, really?
