"Right lads we know the Welsh will be pumped and the crowd will be baying for blood so keep it tight in the first 15 and kill the atmosphere"
Good job England

Wales were wank in the second half. Offered nothing.

Shoulda known better, they've been useless for a while. England should beat them in the WC relatively easily considering the injuries they had tonight

Farcical the coverage concussion incidents get in football such as Lloris when North has played until the final whistle having been knocked out on the pitch twice.

It's their responsibility to tell the player no, you're not good to continue, you're coming off. Ireland's best player was subbed off with the game in the balance in Paris last year because of concussion. Been a huge amount of coverage of it in Ireland at least in recent years because O'Driscoll suffered a lot of concussions and there was that ridiculous moment a couple years ago where he came back on against France even though you could see him staggering all over the pitch.

Wales never turned up in the second half. Great win for England. Highlight of the game was that dude running into the post. vine.co/v/OFYrxjQwm6m

Aye nothing on the player at all, he's always going to want to play on but he's not in any fit state to be making that call. Obviously the fans will moan at the decision but it's the doctors job to be brave enough to make that call and tonight he just wasn't.

I doubt the fans would moan tbh, well maybe the Welsh. But the uproar after that France game in Ireland was unreal, even in the stadium people didn't really cheer when he staggered back on the pitch, I'd say the entire country was thinking "he shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch at the minute".
I'd also wager North staying on will get quite a bit of coverage because concussion is a major focus in the game right now. Maybe it didn't on the Beeb (didn't have commentary on) but that wouldn't surprise me.

Don't think it's just a Welsh thing tbf, think there'd always be fans moaning if a player goes off and their team loses as it's a scapegoat really.
Don't know how much was made of it on-air as I was flicking between but online BBC's live text mentioned it a few times and I've seen Lewis Moody and Will Carling amongst those tweeting he should have been taken off for his own good.
I'd hope a big deal is made out of it, possibly more in the Welsh media than ours given the focus will be on the win and it's not really their job to be slating Wales' for it.

From following rugby the past couple years tbh the vast, vast majority of fans would prefer their best players come on and be safe rather than carry on and risk brain damage. Last year is a case in point, we were going for the championship and our best and most important player gets a head injury - if you find any live text commentary or something at the time people will be gutted he's going off but nobody would be saying "keep him on what's the harm", they'd be happy his safety is coming first.
There has been a major culture shift within the sport in that regard. I dunno if the doctor on the sideline tonight felt he passed whatever tests they have but he shouldn't have been back out there.
