We've signed Lee Tomlin on loan with a view to a permanent deal, looks like a permanent deal anyway it just had to be switched to a loan at the last minute.
Emnes and a load of other shite out, Graham and Tomlin in, very happy with that.

Ben Smith @bensmithbbc 19s #LFC had an agreement with Konoplyanka. Owner of FC Dnipro refused to sign the paperwork
The reason you don't leave shit until the last few days. In reality Konoplyanka isn't really a massive issue, the whole fiasco with Salah leading to Konoplyanka is. Also, not even attempting to sign/loan a DM with Lucas out until March and Allen always getting injured is really disappointing.

Never been so happy to get rid of Danny Graham, that in itself is like a new signing.

Lamela is a far better player than Holtby. Perhaps if we play him, we'll actually see what he can do. 10 minute cameos here and there aren't enough. Lamela can play out wide or off the striker, Holtby can play off the striker and further back in the middle. They're both attacking midfielders, they play the same position. And in truth, neither are getting ahead of Eriksen there atm. We haven't brought back Livermore either. Capoue isn't going anywhere and Holtby can't play a defensive midfield role. Shambles? You're overreacting. We've loaned one player out, who is 3rd/4th choice in both the positions he can play. Hardly something that resembles a shambles. Nice to way to base yer entire post over a misreading of what I said so I'll say it again: Lamela is nowhere near as good as Holtby in terms of how they actually play for the team. When we play Holtby, he's settled, comfortable, a good member of the team etc etc. When we play Lamela its in fits and bursts, he hasn't got the same confidence etc etc. Therefore Holtby > Lamela in terms of what helps the team right now, not hypothetically in five or six games time. Individually I'm sure Lamela will start playing well as you have suggested but that was irrelevant. Lamela is also predominantly a right winger, Holby predominantly as the furthest forward in a middle 3. So I'm gonna refrain from directly comparing them. & yea, Holtby is a lesser version of Eriksen in the same off-striker role which is why he'd benefit from playing in the middle, where he can be and is no doubt better than Bentaleb, Livermore (who going off of Twitter its all but been confirmed he's back) and probably off of form I'd have over Dembele right now but thats at a stretch. It also is a shambles when you consider the fact we have 2 100% fit CBs, our best left back in the league below, 2 strikers + 1 who doesn't won't be here soon and we've just sold our 2nd best right back to Bournmouth. Yet we're not going to buy anyone. And have loaned out one of if not the most versatile all round midfielders we have to a team in a relagation battle. Oh, and we still have Tim Sherwood at the helm. Its like the early 00s all over again. Hardly. Why do you even bring up Holtby's worth in the team, against Lamela when the latters yet to feature regularly? It's a null point, used just to suit your argument. There's no real backbone to it. When we play Lamela? We haven't, so what exactly are you basing this on? He's only started like 2 league games. I don't understand why everyones getting so sad about Holtby going. We've got two attacking midfielders better than him and about 4 central midfielders who he won't be moving any time soon. He's done well in the cup games, but he's been poor in the league and he has had a handful of starts. Usually against lesser teams. Lamela's not predominantly a winger. He can play behind the striker very capably. Sherwood referenced this in an interview earlier this month, listed he and Chadli as potential 'forwards' or players off said forward. Livermore's recall was a bullshit rumour started by the Mail or the Mirror, I forget which. Premier league rules state we can't recall him as it's a year long loan. Holtby over Dembele is so far over the mark lol. We have 4 fit centre backs. Vertonghen and Kaboul are both available for selection tomorrow. We also have 4 strikers, 3 once Defoe leaves. BAE is good, but a liability. He's not much better than Rose in fairness and that's saying something. Not been spectacular for QPR either. Holtby isn't versatile, he can only play in two positions. If we'd have loaned out Sigurdsson, I'd agree, he is versatile. It's nothing like the early 00s. We're FIFTH, 3 points off of 4th. Seriously mate, relax and make sure you see the confirmed stuff before getting worked up over assumptions and false info from twitter. I'm disappointed we didn't sign a striker (Berbatov), but there's a distinct lack of quality at the moment. Likewise for the LB/CB we could have done with. There's nobody out there, so why bother?

If we've met a release clause and their owner has then not signed it, can't we appeal that in some way given that just seems illegal?

I don't know the intricate details of these contracts but I would assume there must be some kind of loophole in these buyout fees for exactly this reason. Need to be able to have time to get a replacement or whatever, save someone coming in at half past 10 and slapping down the money for your best player and not giving you time to replace.
