He won't. Bit of added depth though. To be fair there's nobody out there we could feasibly get who would make our title challenge any easier.
Might pick up a bit later now kids have finished school at least.

really thought you'd get some kind of striker and make a proper title push. there must be someone out there for a reasonable fee that offers something a bit different. seems like a great opportunity wasted to me.

Any truth in us going for Nigel De Jong?

Really don't know who though, there's nobody out there available who I'd want to replace Giroud and there's nobody really out there good enough to add support who'd be willing to sit on the bench.
If anything I reckon we could use a winger with Theo out, someone with a bit of pace to get in behind as we've got Giroud and Podolski who can play up top if necessary, whereas for actual wingers we're down to just Ox.

Nah, Rodgers said earlier the only player they're trying to get in is Konoplyanka. Think the De Jong rumors were nothing but that.

Still think you should have paid QPR to recall and sell Remy. More than adequate cover as a loan striker but could do a job supporting from out wide too.

I think Wenger has his heart set on Draxler and didn't want a short term fix, especially if the quotes about turning him into a van Persie type striker are true.

Not all loans can be recalled, imagine the Remy style transfer can't.

Aye Draxler will get done in the summer I imagine, unfortunately at the expense of Podolski I fear.
Last time we pulled out of getting a player early was Hazard, and in the end we went with Gervinho instead. Worked well.

Well who'd have thought the big talking points today would be Cattermole and Hoolahan. Meanwhile, Jim's been trying to bribe sexual favours out of me by threatening to show Sam pictures of me sucking on that long chocolate coloured thing last night.

David Craig is reporting from Cardiff. Probably had a huff that he'd be in the cold up in Newcastle reporting fuck all.

How the fuck are we gonna loan out Holtby, the first player I'd say I want to be at Spurs for 10 yrs, he'll be sold to Germany in the summer and its a fucking waste, bar Dembele and maybe Erikson hes the most inventive player we have, and versatile too, fuck Spurs in the transfer market we're a bunch of cunts if I'm honest He's really not that big a loss. I rate Holtby, but I'd have Lamela and Eriksen ahead of him all day long. And that's only if we play one up top allowing an attacking midfielder, which seems to contrast with Tim's line ups. It's only a loan deal anyways, it's good for him and us. He'll now get a good run of games in the league for the first time. Lamela is nowhere near as good as Holtby in terms of how they actually play for the team though. Maybe once Lamela has settled in, can speak English and is liked by Tim then he'd be ahead of Holtby (not that they play anywhere near the same position anyway) but even so, we've brought back Livermore, Capoue could well be on his way and we've decided to loan out the man that can play both of those positions and- I'd wager considering how much he seems to come across as genuinely loving his time at the club- wouldn't mind doing so either as long as he gets first team football. Shambles.

Shambles. Lamela is a far better player than Holtby. Perhaps if we play him, we'll actually see what he can do. 10 minute cameos here and there aren't enough. Lamela can play out wide or off the striker, Holtby can play off the striker and further back in the middle. They're both attacking midfielders, they play the same position. And in truth, neither are getting ahead of Eriksen there atm. We haven't brought back Livermore either. Capoue isn't going anywhere and Holtby can't play a defensive midfield role. Shambles? You're overreacting. We've loaned one player out, who is 3rd/4th choice in both the positions he can play. Hardly something that resembles a shambles.
