Kinda over the north now I’ve found out they’re not too keen on black folk.

Turns out Mac from It’s Always Sunny was in that first episode.

Felt like a wasted episode this week. The first just kind of re-established where people were and how their relationships were which you could kind of accept but this one carried on with some pointless, fan-pleasing shite. Only 4 more episodes now and a shit load to wrap up.
This has Lost written all over it.

Horny Tormund was the undoubted star of the show.

That'll be interesting to see if he steps back a bit if because this opinion seems to be the general consesus on social media for both eps.

Think it’s been obvious from the outset that the first two episodes were gonna be basically nothing more than setting up for episode 3. Think we’ve seen a lot of fan pleasing but that’s to be expected we’re essentially going to have half the cast wiped out next week. Considering how season 7 literally sped through everything I’ve appreciated these last two episodes for what they are.
But I lost my shit when Pod sang Jenny’s Song.

That was more like classic early Thrones I thought, back to the pacing that makes the show so good. I don't think they're going to be in trouble with wrapping it up at all, there's only 4 episodes to go but the episode lengths are 60, 78, 80 and 80 minutes. I don't actually think there's a ridiculous amount to wrap up either, and they're about to wipe out a massive amount of the cast. Helped that this episode was so much about Jaime who is probably the best character at this point. Theon and Sansa's moment was terrific as well. Dialogue was a little bit groan-inducing in places, and it would be nice if someone mentioned that hiding in the crypts vs a foe that can raise the dead might be problematic.
Who's dying in the battle then? I reckon Theon and Grey Worm are certainties, Gendry, Edd and Jorah probable as well I'd say. Wouldn't be too shocked if they had Dany die a hero's death either, maybe to save Jon. Also think Melisandre is returning to turn the battle and then also probably dying.

Reckon the Night King is dead by episode 4 but as for the living I’m not even sure who dies next week.
Grey Worm has the same feel that Karsi had at Hardhome where he’s promised something to a loved one which means he’s dying soon.
Think the siren going off before Jon has a chance to basically say ‘I’m the heir but I don’t care about the throne’ is going to be what turns the two Targaryens against each other, so I think both of them are making it past next week. Bran to warg into Viserion to help in the destruction of the white walkers and sacrificing himself, Drogon and Rhaegal battling each other with their riders and the winner of that going down to face Cersei.

My only confusion is whether they know the Night King has risen Viserion or not. Bran literally says he has one of the dragons and yet no one is acting as though that's a thing. I reckon that it's not the full army attacking Winterfell either otherwise we would have seen Viserion so I reckon Night King has gone further south and will wipe out the Lannister army before turning back north.
Also I think that cause if the final battle isn't living versus dead but instead Cersei versus a Targ then that's shit story telling, then again we are off book.

They’ve made Arya so shit now it’s a shame
Jorah and Brienne got proper closure this ep so I’m expecting them to go next week. Grey Worm as well.
They’ll win the battle against the white walkers but the NK won’t be there, reckon he’s off to Kings Landing with Viserion.
Drogon is gonna be the last dragon left at the end I think. Don’t think Jon and Dany will fight each other but one of them is dying definitely.

Think it’s set up for Dany to do “a bad thing” with respect to Jon or the Starks in general during the battle. It feels like she’d give up everything before the crown given all she’s had to do to get to this point.

Arya chucking all of the daggers into the wall was so cringeworthy
