Delighted for Donaldson, great when the little guy wins it.

Would've been happy to see either Donaldson or Garcia win it. Great stuff.
I feel bad that Stevie G never got a point on the board but happy Europe won. Although, in truth, it was never in doubt.

I would criticise Gallacher but to be fair to him he played a good round today, Mickelson was just better.
Don't think there's one member of the 12 who let the team down in truth, obviously the stand outs are McIlroy and Rose, but the likes of McDowell and Westwood deserve credit for helping Donaldson and Dubuisson settle.

Poulter was probably the biggest flop which was strange. Just a strong European team that had better players.
If the US had Dustin Johnson (possible coke head), Jason Dufner (injured) and Billy Horschel (won the last two PGA Tour tournaments of the year but they were after the picks were chosen) it might have been different. Chris Kirk could have been a good choice too and of course Tiger would have been a good addition in the singles. So it was not a classic American team at all.
The American picks weren't great Simpson was just terrible, Bradley had a great Ryder Cup last year but a poor season and Mahan can't pitch to save his life under pressure.
I hope the Americans come roaring back in the next match to be honest because they've now lost 7 of the last 8 Ryder Cups and it's becoming a bit too easy for the Europeans, it's losing it's lustre a bit.

What are people's thoughts on the Mickelson Watson spat?

Mickelson coming across as an absolute cunt. A bitter cunt too. Think Watson was a poor captain, seemed disengaged from his team and was the polar opposite to McGinley. That said, there's no excuses for hanging your captain out to dry whilst he's sat on stage alongside you (as I believe he was when he went on and on about Azingers captaincy being better)

Aye from what I've read he was sat right near him AND apparently of the American team, they all flew over together, Watson included, but Mickelson was "busy" and had to fly by private jet on his own later. Seems like he's the disengaged one to me.

That's always been a problem of the US team, too many egos.

Meh, don't think it's that much of a negative thing, probably not the best of times to post it on Twitter though.

Reminds me of Mickelson playing foresomes with Woods in 2004 Ryder Cup when they were number 1 and 2 in the world was cringeworthy considering how much disdain they had for each other. In foursomes Mickelson hit a shot into trees and Woods' reaction was like 'how dare you put me in there'.
Whereas you stick any of the European best players together and they'll make a good team and there certainly won't be that tension.

Mickelson has every right to be annoyed. Hes one of the best pressure players the yanks have so to not use him all day was ridiculous.
