Only thing Brazil has going for it is you can be champions one year, then relegated the next.

Chelsea, Real, Juventus and Bayern Arsenal, Barcelona, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli Liverpool, Athletic Bilbao, Fiorentina and Schalke Tottenham, Villarreal, Inter Milan and Wolfsburg Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Hellas Verona and Borussia Mönchengladbach Everton, Sevilla, Parma and Hertha BSC Newcastle, Valencia, Torino and Augsburg Southampton, Levante, Mainz and Milan West Ham, Espanyol, Lazio and Hoffenheim Hull, Celta Vigo, Genoa and Hannover Swansea, Osasuna, Udinese and Nuremburg Aston Villa, Granada, Sampdoria and Eintracht Frankfurt Norwich, Elche, Atalanta and Werder Bremen Stoke, Getafe, Cagliari and Stuttgart Crystal Palace, Almeria, Chievo Verona and Hamburg West Brom, Malaga, Bologna and Freiburg Sunderland, Valladolid, Livorno and Eintracht Braunschweig Kaiserslauten, Catania, Rayo Vallecano and Cardiff City Fulham, Betis, Sassuolo and Greuter Furth
Makes it England 5, Spain 5, Germany 5 and Italy... 5
Think that Group 3 and 4 could go any way and I couldn't pick a clear winner for any of Hull, Swansea, Villa, West Brom, Sunderland or Cardiff's groups as no team stood out.

Theres a reason players from the Argentinian or Brazilian leagues jump ship as soon as a European side is interested. there's plenty of them but i'm not sure you're referring to the correct ones

so for you to say they have a 'far more balanced league' im assuming you watch it? or do you , quite literally, have no idea what you're talking about as well? the top clubs and players are in Europe , the best teams in Europe most of the time would trounce the best South American sides (as you agreed tbf, I think anyway.) all the best talent and top clubs being in Europe in my opinion means the best football is in Europe. and again in my opinion, that much is self justifying. I don't need to go and watch cortiba vs vasco du gama . ive seen a few of the top teams, but no, im referring to how the league can massively vary from one year to the next, which indicates a greater degree of balance you'd surely agree? the top teams in europe don't always trounce the best of south america anyway

yeah I'd say that's fair. but the whole format confuses me tbh. I'm guessing the top teams will rest their players for the state championships , only basing this from a quick google search though cause as far as I know it basically costs them their pre season. a reason for that turbulent league table I would guess is the financial problems or just general financial situations over there. wasn't long ago we were talking about corruption at Corinthians. and didn't some of the top sides get individual tv deals or something ? presumably some real financial clout comes along with that.

I've watched plenty of South American football over the years when betting and it's fucking diabolical.

I'm surprised anyone has voted for Italy to be honest. I don't watch any other league consistently so in a biased fashion I'd pick England.

Do you literally always try to have your opinion be different from everyone elses #FreeBTS? I'm not being funny but you are by perfect definition a hipster. Even when something is as obvious as saying that South American leagues simply do not compare to England, Germany or Spain, almost certainly not Italy and probably not France.

Is Childish known as argumentative?
Do we have an index of members with a list of qualities?!
That'd be a good, non controversial thread.

I don't really know what I've argued other than with Gianni Infantino over Ozil last week. I didn't really mean what I said as insulting as it seems reading it back lol, but it's ludicrous to suggest South American leagues could compete with either of the top 3 leagues. Some of the defending in those leagues is absolutely atrocious, when you think even Brazil/Argentina National Teams struggle for top CBs you can only imagine how sub-par the ones who haven't gotten signed by a big European team are. Dante and Thiago Silva are the very good ones. Colcochinni and Alex are pretty good. Mascherano, Luiz, Otamendi and Garay aren't exactly totally reliable defenders.
