iirc someone playing in a sunday league got charged with assault for breaking someones leg in a tackle, can easily argue he's gone in there with intent so don't see why it wouldn't be treated differently?

La Masia teach technical ball skills not tackling, so it can't be helped.

I don't understand this either, equally I don't believe Pardew should have got away as lightly with his headbutt as he did. Imagine if a fan ran onto the technical area and did that? He'd be banned from the ground for life. Obviously different to the video ITT but it wound me up a bit. My mate got banned for three years for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time OUTSIDE of our ground so things like this irk me.

Speaking of new legs, can we get some for Stuart Holden please?
Managed 15 minutes of his comeback match in the reserves last week before going down with another knee injury.
Had yet another op on it yesterday, out for another 6-9 months. This is the same reoccurring injury that has been running since March 2011 now. Poor lad. He should just retire, fair play to him for keep trying to come back though.

First thing that jumped to mind was that, luckily that didn't connect.
Being made to play for Stoke would be a good punishment tbh.

is that the challenge that United fans always bring up when it's brought up that Spurs were utterly robbed in that game?
I thought it would have been worse tbh

I thought it would have been worse tbh It's the one everyone ignores when bringing up that game as some sort of evidence for Webb's supposed bias. As opposed to him just being a ref that isn't very good. The only real way it could've been worse is if he clatters Ronaldo, and that isn't down to him, it's down to a player of that quality being able to evade a shite clogger of the Stoke variety. If he does that he probably doesn't walk for a long, long time. Bad tackles like that need stamping out regardless of contact, obviously the ones in the first post get noticed more because someone's got seriously hurt but flying in like that has no place in football.

He posts pictures of him rehabbing and saying he can't wait to play again and I simultaneously feel happy for him but also shake my head that he's still out. Gutted for him with that latest setback. Also that Palacios tackle is absolutely disgraceful. It's just as bad if not worse than the one in the first post. I remember someone said the Martin Taylor tackle was only seen as so bad because Eduardo broke his his leg. It just made me think how many dreadful tackles that get 3 game bans, which is the same as giving someone a Gervinho to Barton slap. Shocking really. if you go in like any of these people do you need 7+ game bans like Ben Thatcher style. I understand a mistimed tackle getting 3 games but I'm talkimg proper shit house two foot studs showing ones.

Two worst ones that spring to mind when I think of Newcastle games, though McManaman's didn't cause serious injury (I can't remember what the case with Anichebe was, I remember he didn't break anything but was out for a while I'm sure?).
