{SPOILER}Just been to see it again and I thought it wouldn't be as bad this time but for some reason it hit me even more.
I'm a big soft bastard at the best of times but when some kid ran out of the cinema crying his eyes out I was gone looool.
There is an awful lot to take in and seeing it at midnight probably isn't the best thing but I wanted no chances of spoilers. It caught me off guard with a few things last night that I wasn't sure about but having processed it and then watching it again today it's fucking phenomenal.
It felt like everyone in the cinema went on some crazy rollercoaster of all kinds of emotions. There was loads of laughing, gasps and crying. You sit there thinking "what a cunt I am crying" then you realise everyone else is crying as well.
It was like a perfect tribute to the last 11 year. What a way for this saga to go out.

I think they balanced humour and emotion so well. Even at Tony’s funeral, they managed to get a few laughs out which made it fucking worse because I’m laughing loudly and you can tell there’s tears there as well.
Everything post main battle though, just fucking stunning. The hologram speech had me choking up, when he ended it with “I love you 3000” I think that was as close as I got to just bawling. Then ending it with old Cap and seeing the life he had with Peggy, just brilliant.
Most of the MCU films to me have been really fun rides, heavy on the action with some story added as well. I think they balanced it great this time, story wasn’t even as important with so much of the groundwork being done by the prior films, but they knocked it out of the park.
Ended the Avengers in the best way, making me want more knowing I won’t get it. Bastards.

{SPOILER}It's mad cause I know it hasn't ended but it feels like things just won't be the same anymore. It's Marvel so you have to imagine that they'll pull it off some how. I guess even if the next stage of the MCU isn't as good, we always have the last 11 years to look back on, it's been an amazing run.
That's what makes it so good though, knowing that the heroes can and will die. There's nothing cool about super heroes that aren't in any danger.
There were so many great moments but when Captain America summoned Mjolnir, fuck me.

Yeah I have a cineworld unlimited card so I can go as many times as I want but I think it's like a tenner usually.
The cheapest cinema round here is a fiver I believe.

All I’ve got round here is an Odeon in Liverpool itself, an Odeon Luxe a few miles the other way and a few independent ones which are sound but not my cup of tea at all.
So I watched Endgame in a recliner, which is how all blockbusters should be seen.

Pretty awesome tbh. Cap had a good 3 moments of badassness and Thor was both funny and cool. Interested to see where GotG goes with the next movie.

aye it was the early showing special, it's usually £6.50 I'm pretty sure though I get it as a student for a fiver on Wednesdays. {Endgame Spoilers} The second time around I got a bit more cut up with what I knew was coming. Lines from Black Widow especially - the last thing she says to Steve is "See you in a minute" just before they time jump.
I think the five years later jump after 10 minutes was brilliant and they exploration of grief and how people handle that was great. The first act was probably my favourite in terms of spending a bit of time with the characters.
I liked the Thor twist although I can see some people really hated it. It was a bit too comedy heavy at times for me but overall Hemsworth has nailed that niche for Thor in the last few movies so it's great to see.
I'm just really happy that Cap got his dance with Peggy. There are holes with the time travel logic there but... I can't bring myself to care all that much about it.
Tony <!--3 I'm a huge Cap fan but Tony has been right ever since Ultron. He made mistakes but overall he was right. The acting from RDJ in that first 10 minutes was incredible, how he still held so much resentment for what happened in Civil War. It was brilliant. "I lost the kid" really got me as well.
Overall I think they nailed what was a really difficult job in tying up a lot of arcs and kind of having the slate wiped clean for Phase 4. It's comics, it's Marvel, so you can never say never - but I really think we won't see Tony Stark again. We may see old Cap or Chris Evans popping in now and again in a Fury-type role but I can't see RDJ ever coming back.
I'm convinced Black Widow isn't really gone though. There's plenty of talk of a standalone film for her (finally) which will more than likely be a prequel/origin type thing. But the phrase with the soul stone is "A soul for a soul, an everlasting exchange"... but what happens when the exchange isn't everlasting? What happens when Steve brings the stone back? -->

I wonder what happened with Gamora as well, like will we get 2014 Gamora who doesn't know anyone or is she done as well?
My gfs step mam was messaging today saying how she didn't enjoy the film but it seemed like she was just really upset about characters dying but that's what made it so good for me, like I said the other day, super hero movies where people can't lose is so fucking boring.
I had a few issues with the film but like you say I couldn't really give a fuck being arsed about any of them for too long. I still think it will end up being one of my favourite films ever.

I fucking loved it but having just seen it I'll need to see it again to make sure I'm not just coming off a high. It was like that with Force awakens where going to the midnight screening made it seem like the best thing ever but watching it again you realise it's a new hope retold and it wears a little.
Still reckon it's 21 films in the making well done though. Amazing all round. Get it seen if you've not.

You might not have as good an experience with Endgame having missed other films, there are character developments and plot points that get payoffs here but in terms of a narrative, you’ll be able to follow it. I’d still recommend seeing Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and Spiderman: Homecoming as they’re all great.
