Full Metal Jacket should waltz into your top 10.
Agree with 2001 being up there, this is similar level stuff.

Kubrick's a poor mans M Night Shyamalan Watched The Help last night. Really good cast. Really bad story. They could've made a really good drama out of it and instead went for the mainstream lighthearted weepy. Still, 7/10 for the good acting and a few genuinely good moments in the film.

I've been invited out to watch The Hobbit twice in the past two days and I've been busy both times, haven't been to the cinema for months now.
I still have like 10+ DVD's that I've bought that I've yet to watch 'cause I'm lazy.

Watched Black Swan and the Great Gatsby over the last few days - the Black Swan was really good, and the Great Gatsby was alright but did my head in every time Di Caprio said ol' sport after the second time.

Yeah I'd forgot about the ridiculous fantasy and romance themes and was expecting something closer to troy, Alexander etc

Just watched insidious that was some scary shit. I have seen it when it came out but I think I watched a shit pirated version, some of it was familiar but this time was a lot scarier than I remember unless I supressed the scary memory. If anyone hasn't seen it they should watch it and I advise you keep your arse clenched.
Also double post suck it

Not a fan of horror films, never scare me cos im fucking hard. Insidious had a nice twist which i didn't expect, and the monster was creepy as fuck but never really got me crying like a bitch. It's all about Prisoners. One of the best films of the year. Hugh Jackman and Jake Gylenhalloffameshitfuckingconfusingsurname were class.

Ugh, everyone seems to really love Prisoners, which possibly raised my expectations somewhat, but i thought it was just okay. Maybe it was some character motivation shit that didn't connect with me or whatever, but yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal was great in it though.
I finally saw Adventureland for the first time when it was on the BBC the other day (yesterday? i don't even know anymore) and it only served to remind me of how strangely attractive i find Kirsten Stewart.
