I only play FIFA online or against mates but might give career mode a go after my exams and adjust the sliders and see how I get on. Currently in division 2 online though and I won my first 3 games. I've never been in division 1 on this years game. Someone help. How am I playing well? I just don't understand it.

Fuck it, started a career with Spurs today
Won my first five league games including a 1-0 away at Arsenal. Beat Bristol City 3-1 in the League Cup.
Lloris (Sippel)
Walker - Chiriches - Vertonghen - Shaw (M-Percil) - (Veljkovic) - (Kaboul) - (Rose)
Sandro (Capoue)
Lamela - Eriksen - Dembele - Townsend (Volland) - (Bentaleb) - (Paulinho) -(Chadli)
Soldado (Kane)
The fucking board tried to sell Sandro behind my back so I had to start again, didn't realise if the team accepted your counter offer you didn't then have an opportunity to still reject the sale. Buying Goretzka and Benzia either in January or the summer. Both got 90+ potential >>>
Spent fifteen million + Sigurdsson on Volland and he's been utter shite so far. No pace about him but tbh it might be cos he doesn't fit the 433 system I got.

Also, can't remember who said it on here (maybe Childish?) about Fifa online being purely about pace, and that it has no technique.. either way, agree 100%. Think I must have come up against a forward line of Aubameyang, Schurrle and Mata maybe 5 out of the 6 games I played on UT. Not sure whats worse, having to play the same type of player every game or the fact that even when you try and go against it with slow but technically able players (Gomez up top, Muller/Gundogan behind is my usual tactic) it just doesn't even fucking work cos a first touch doesn't exist.

Quite a fan of Ultimate Team and I don't really get any problems with the servers in-game tbh. It's just the transfer market that is proper retared.
Anyways, I witnessed my friend get both TOTS Gary Cahill and TOTS Andre-Pierre Gignac, all within the space of 3 15k packs. He's had Gary Neville, Van Persie when he was like 200k and a few other high-priced players all in packs too in this FIFA. My "pack luck" is on the other side of the spectrum. The only player worth shouting about was when I got Pavel Nedved but it was in one of those untradeable packs so I can't sell him. Hardly pack luck if you cannot sell him for shitloads imo.

My mate basically cheats the game all the time with Robben, run straight down the wing back post cross, nothing you can do about it most of the time. Takes advantage of every little glitch.
Online I've found ball over the top with Real Madrid to be the worst, everyone picks them and gives the ball over the top to Ronaldo, very annoying. Usually have to play ultra defensive because offside trap never works to combat it. Benzema is really annoying too, fast and strong.

You could always use a team other than a 5* so you don't get matched against them. Haven't played Madrid once this year.

jaffers adjusting slider settings was a great shout, this being the first fifa I've played in an age I had fuck all idea what you were on about but one quick google later and the games feel 10x better.

My bro has been stubbornly trustworthy with PES all the way through and he even admits it's shit this year. Last really good FIFA was 11 for me. Not a fan of this one cos the CPU are ridiculously boring to play against. long balls and heading are op as well, making it shit to play online cos everyone just wants quick, shitty ways to win games. Takes out all the fun.

BAP online was so damn good on FIFA 10 man. Me and Zack used to rip shit up on it. One time our side were 4-0 down at half time so everyone but me, Zack and some random kid left. We won 5-4 with a late winner at the end. Amazing. Other kid was playing right back or something, he must've been having Martin Tyler moments.

Seen you score another absolute screamer with some other kid though. Cardiola, Jogba, Runaldo.

Most sports games come with sliders now, because developers are too wank and have too much to do in such little time, if you consider one comes out each year you have about 10-11 months to get it all nailed. It means that the AI presets will fuck you, given increasing the difficulty wont actually make them play any smarter, it'll just increase the chances of them getting the ball, and make it less likely for you to steal it. It's why you always need a good set of sliders to balance it out. Anybody with NBA 2K find sliders for that too, I don't have 2K14 but from the previous ones it makes a great game a million times better.
The most important slider settings aren't pass error and the like, it's the bottom ones about line height, width, fullback positioning and how frequently the CPU makes runs.

Bakkali from PSV for £5m and Fischer from Ajax for £6m. Amazing on both wings.

I decided to save United when I started career mode, currently in the 2021 season. Play 3-5-1-1, team currently is: GK: Courtois 92 Olivi 89 CB: Marquinhos 89 Warken 86 LB: Alaba 86 Nafiu 81 Lima Gomes 76 RB: Fernandez 84 Barrera Reyes 79 CM: Kovacic 90 Ward-Prowse 87 Framberger 86 Malanda 85 Maconi 85 LM: El Shaarawy 91 Garcia Freire 86 RM: Bruma 88 Vega Suarez 81 CAM: Gotze 92 Correa 84 CF: Bertrand 88 Starfelt 86 ST: Martial 87 Zoubir 85 Has taken an age to build the squad and make it good since I wanted all young players, I think only Courtois, El Shaarawy and Gotze were the only players bought in that were already rated over 80.

I don't play UT now cos of this. I prefer normal online seasons, much slower pace which makes it more enjoyable. Even UT tournaments plays at a slower pace, if I ever play it again I'll probably just do the tournaments.
