People on here have no doubt seen me talk about Fossett's Farm at some point. One of the pieces of land on the current Roots Hall site was sold today but to Lidl instead of Sainsburys. Sainsbury's were originally going to use this piece as an entrance so no-one is really sure what is really happening with that now. On the other hand, we've bought the London Soccerdome which had closed down for £2m and it is being put in place in our training facilities. Which will be excellent for us.

Meant to post the other day that I'd seen the building at Spurs since, fuck me they did a job on it. Must be selling purely on land value now, the entire first floor of the building's gone.

SFA still have to approve it though? And we know what they are like...

Would be great to see some safe standing in Scotland. And would help the rest of the UK get their heads out the sand about it too.

Apparently we’re goinf to announce plans later on this year for the expansion of the Anfield Road end. Three tiers, similar design to the Main Stand and rehousing the away supporters closer to the centenary and I’d imagine, giving them the entire lower tier.
I’m one of a few people who like the main stand’s design and I suppose the end goal once we can fully redevelop the Anfield/Stanley Park area then they want the whole ground to look like it. I wonder if they’ll connect the stands at all the way you have in other grounds like Old Trafford or if they’ll stick with four separate buildings.

That end is surely in need of a revamp, I had tickets for the game but sold them back to Spurs because the restricted view we'd have had involved 90 minutes of staring at the bonse of the person in front
Roof structure going on the ground at the new WHL from next week. Still haven't visited it but the pictures look fucking massive.

Yeah it’s awful. Saints gave back three sections for the league cup semi last year and I ended up in there, about 5 rows from the back and nobody behind me could see cos the roof on the lower tier slopes and has a lip at the front. It’s a farce so I’m glad they’re sorting it out. Should be a much better experience.
They’re building on it the same way they did with the main stand as well so the stand remains open, Anfield Road itself will be shut and the new tier will be built behind and lowered onto the existing stand, probably with some face lifting done to the current structure, new seating etc as well.

Last week the council approved our new stadium. But it'll be shit. Middle of nowhere, no pubs nearby. Totally aimed at watering down the fanbase to families on a day out.

Ewww.
Doesn't even look like you can walk to it from that (I'm sure there'll be some way).

Lmao it’s the Scottish equivalent of Leeds just lashing their new ground in the middle of the Pennines.

Aye it's all shuttle buses and shite. Built right next to the new bypass opening this year. Total shit. We'll have 2 shit games and people will give up going. Massive mistake.

Is that even still in Aberdeen? Crazy idea sticking it in a random field.

Technically, yes. It's right on the border of the Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire council areas. That google maps image is a bit out of date as there has been development to the east and west of the site but it's all offices in business parks.
The whole things been a scam. The club says it's the only site where they can house the stadium and training facilities on the same site but have deflected any suggestion that they could be split to two sites and we'd still be able to have a stadium in the city. They did a massive PR campaign locally and got a lot of fans onboard because 90% of Aberdeen fans are apparently spastics who are unable to question flashy graphics put in front of them. It's not as if there's good transport links. It'd be one thing if there was a rail/subway link but it's all planned on buses which are shite in Aberdeen.
