Irrelevant but the new whl is fucking MASSIVE
I don't know how arsenal fans felt watching the emirates go up, when I'm in London Friday I'll get some pictures but fuck me does it feel like 5 times the size of everything around it
It reminds me of Anfield, and how you can see Anfield from everywhere in Liverpool

It's quite tucked away surprisingly, you can only really see it on the immediate approach from Holloway Road, or once you cross the bridges by Highbury House. And it's sunk below ground level too.
If anything the old east stand at Highbury feels more imposing from outside because of how it's penned in on the street.

£995 for a season ticket at the bottom corner of that single tier stand looking most realistic for me. Chances are everyone is gonna be going for that though when the first priority opens so could very well be paying up to £1,200.
Absolute farce. £1,500 to sit at the back of a stand just because it's on the side of the pitch. £1,300 to sit next to the away fans. £2,200 in some areas of the single tier.
Oo er nice craft salad bar though

Season tickets sorted in the single tier. Now that it's finally sorted I feel like I did at the start of the season again, just wanna be back at our proper home already.

It's crazy politicians get to where they are with no sense of reality.

It's a joke. And I've heard all kinds of stories over the last couple of years of advocates being screamed at by HFSG members for suggesting it. I'm not going to lay into them for what is an understandable concern, but they cover their ears when anyone tries to talk to them about it, particularly Aspinall. Standing is widespread in stadiums across the country and right now, at the risk of fan safety. The only way to stop it is to more forceful and ruthless stewarding, at which point you kill atmosphere. Safe standing has to make it into stadiums down here.

Steward's don't even bother with standing at the Emirates any more, it's left to the crowd to sort it out amongst themselves.

Obviously from someone who knows what rail seating is but they’re that dismissive of the idea I doubt they even know that’s what it is. I do agree though, they’re being unreasonable.

The system they’re proposing to move to is far closer to an all seater stadium than the old terrace anyway. It’s fucking ridiculous to be against it. Can force an unfinished VAR into the FA Cup but can’t implement something that would massively benefit atmospheres in 2018.

The BBC is reporting that the FA have received an £800m offer to buy Wembley.
if that were to happen, what would then happen to things like the FA Cup semis and final, League Cup final, England games etc? Would they then play them at different venues, like Spain do? That is the best case scenario for England fans I think.
