Fell asleep during Reigns/McIntyre, watched the rest just now. It was a good show but as has been the case for years now just too fucking long. Between that and the open air stadium, it’s hard to get the atmosphere from the crowd to come across. I feel like it’s harder for the wrestlers to read the crowd too because they all seemed a little off, a little less sure.
I’d rather have some nostalgia filler segment than a depressing attempt at nostalgia match like Corbin/Angle (I was hoping for a swerve there like Cena/Taker replacing Corbin) but otherwise I was on board with how they tried to manage the energy of the show. It’s just impossible to do for 7 hours no matter what you try.
It needs to go to two nights. Both 3 hours with a 1 hour preshow. That’s more time to get people on the card and it won’t exhaust the crowd. Sure, some people won’t want to go to both nights so will have to choose but they’ll still sell out both shows easily enough. It doesn’t matter that the ‘main show’ is the same length as Raw, you make it special with everything else; the content, the set, the arena.
HOF on Thursday, NXT on Friday, Mania Part 1 on Saturday, Mania Part 2 on Sunday.

Fair play to him for rolling with it - some of the best segments in recent years have been from seemingly stupid set ups (Hell-No's counselling)
Also, Uso's promo with Revival was brilliant, shades of Rock in there.

streamja.com/L9GAHonestly, Brock winning is a giant slap in the face of those guys going through it for nothing. Maybe this company will be better once Vince McMahon is...

Dean Ambrose showed up in AEW. Didn’t see the show but seen a fairly mixed but more positive than negative response to it.
Apparently Cody had a spot where he destroyed a throne with a sledgehammer and there were a few anti-WWE/Triple H comments throughout.

Definitely going to watch a few of the matches, sounds like it was a really good show from what I’ve seen. Not really a big fan of going after WWE so soon though, that sledgehammer/chair thing sounds a little embarrassing.

My thoughts exactly, don't set up with the premise you're gonna be new, different and exciting and then spend your first show chucking dogs and callbacks at WWE. The vast majority of their viewers will still tune into WWE regardless so all it serves to do is piss off Vince (never wise, he can be as petty as they come), let alone alienate potential new viewers.
