I dunno where you fit him in with Casillas, Reina and De Gea though. Although he starts league games, still think Casillas is a better keeper. De Gea is for the future so then it's between him and Reina and Reina has more experience in the set-up and I'd say he's good in the dressing room.

That Spain squad is ridiculous. If I had to get rid of 7 of those players it would probably be Carvajal, Moreno, Koke (harshly), Iturraspe, Thiago, Negredo and Llorente. I think. Would maybe take Thiago ahead of Mata. A few top players going to be missing out of that squad is a shame.
And fuck Switzerland, hope they go out in the group stages.

I think Koke is gonna get in though cos he can play centre midfield, wing and has played wing-back before for Spain.

I suppose aye he could be a good utility player (ridiculous that I'm even describing someone as good as him as a utility player). Going by that though, Fabregas can also play centre midfield and on the wing and although I don't think he is played on the wing as much now, Iniesta can do it as well.

Negredo has been out of form recently (yes I understand Torres has been out of form for years lol) and I just don't see how Llorente could work with the system Spain play.

Produce a full-back you idiots. Out in the second round for me when one of their makeshift full-backs has to face Ronaldo, will be valuable experience for them though.
I am glad Januzaj is going to the World Cup though, will be very interested in seeing him, those young players are the ones you want coming off the bench to make an impact.

Thought Nainggolan would make it. Glad Januzaj is there, hopefully he gets a few games. Was definitely some sort of deal done where he'd declare for Belgium if they brought him to the World Cup.
Overall I think they're a bit lacking in some areas for all their hype and will be very reliant on Hazard to produce the goods.

Courtois Vertonghen - Kompany - Vermaelen Witsel - Defour - Felliani Hazard - Dembele - Mirallas Lukaku Who needs wing backs.

Llorente and Negredo both missing out for Torres is fucking ridiculous. Torres always seems to produce the goods for Spain though. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he went. 36 in 108 games isn't it? Not a ridiculous record, but yeah I think he'll go. Just don't think he deserves it compared to the other 2.

Haha Mike man. I think it'll cost them anyway, there's a lot of talented wide players, and the players I can imagine playing wide for them wouldn't exactly fill me with confidence when it comes to tracking back. They're going in with so little pressure though, even for a first round exit (which would be a huge surprise) they can shrug it off as a learning curve. I'd fancy Germany or Portugal over them though and it'd be fairly even versus Ghana imo (potential second round opponents).

Llorente and Negredo both missing out for Torres is fucking ridiculous. Torres always seems to produce the goods for Spain though. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he went. He doesn't really though. He did more when he was younger but at the last World Cup, it was all David Villa who produced the goods for them coming in from the left. Then at Euro 2012 they actually chose to not play a striker in one game to avoid playing Torres and Negredo started the quarter final ahead of him as well. He might have finished top scorer but only scored 3 goals, 2 of which were against Ireland and another in the final, near the end of the game, when they were already 2-0 up.
