notpropaganda Loved it mate, I dunno if its because I'd never really watched it before but I proper appreciated the skill level of the sport. Been a really long day though, was up at 3am to catch our flight. Back at our apartment now in Irishtown with the perfect view of the Aviva Stadium. It's a pretty insane skill level in hurling, it's one of our national games but there are only about 7 or 8 counties (out of 32) that would have a good tradition in it and would have teams able to compete most years. Most teams go through cycles but Kilkenny are always there and Tipperary tend to be there more often than not. But yeah, the skill level is huge and the coaching just isn't there in most counties to enable any of them to break through. You can't manufacture a competitive team in hurling, you have to have the basic skills or you're fucked. Glad you enjoyed it, though ended up in Quinns? Ya poor sod! Unless it's changed in the last few years, wasn't it closed down last year for hygiene reasons Mycon?

Was a fuck on trying to get them to put the boro game on but they go there in the end. I just assumed it was where everyone goes before the games. We got there for opening because we didn't realise pubs can't open until 12 on a Sunday in Ireland but after half an hour or so the place was rammed.
I was getting a few dodgy looks from people but it probably wasn't smart wearing an NFL shirt in there. On the whole though the Irish are really nice people.
Love the place tbh.

Yeah though there's ways around that, you can always get in to The Big Tree at about 11 or so round the back door. Least you can with a Donegal jersey on haha
Can't wait til next summer already, nothing beats Dublin on a Championship Sunday the place is buzzing

That was a rumour but it looked busy on Saturday and pretty sure I drank there a few months ago so must be doing something right.

Yeah was a very exciting game today. Glad to see those Tyrone cuts beaten. Have to admit they played brilliantly though.

Imagine if they were more clinical when a goal was on, they could've been out of sight at half time
I was rooting for Tyrone because of the biased coverage and the rimjob Kerry were getting but then Sean Cavanagh would come onscreen and I'd be all nooooope. One of the best players of his generatiom but an absolute dick on the football field.
Felt Deegan robbed Tyrone of momentum tbh, they had another penalty denied and it was more blatant than the first imo.
Decent game overall considering the rain. Next week should be a cracker

I'm actually in Kerry at the moment so we watched the match in a Kerry pub which was cool. They were fairly nervous with ten to go.
For a while I was cheering for Kerry but then I started to feel a little dirty. Still wanted them to win but would rather Mayo won it all.

Talk about cynical anti-football, Dublin are giving a masterclass in it today

Brolly is right, if it was Ulster teams they'd call it a load of shite.
Really niggly game so far. Also the black card rule is a joke.

Honestly through that whole game I just thought Mayo were playing in to Dublin's hands, and then as soon as they push up on Cluxton's kickouts they come back into it and probably should have won it.
Exciting finish but hopefully the cynicism isn't glossed over.

Yeah the ending rescued a terrible game. Dublin were beatable there, they went full circle on last year and were too negative. Mayo have another chance at least.

Mayo had more than enough chances to win it, so so so many chances wasted. That goal attempt when Cluxton fucked up at the end from Moran was agonising, why did he not square it for the goal?
Hopefully the replay is more exciting, the first half was hard to watch.
