And while I'm here yeah, agree with you Chappy. Osweiler was decent enough, all the Texans really need from their QB with that D and if Lamar Miller can do something good this year now. Really think the Broncos are in trouble here though, the options out there beyond Fitzpatrick are so average. Johnny Football gonna land in Denver and take them to back to back Super Bowls?

You know you're in trouble when your best option is Colin Kaepernick

I know Megatron is the man in Detroit and obviously a huge loss but Marvin Jones is a good replacement, him and Golden Tate are solid enough. Proper litmus test for Stafford though without his go-to guy around, I agree.

Am I missing something with Osweiler? When your QB's were Hoyer, Mallett, Yates and Weeden.... Osweiler don't look so bad! Weird to think who the Bronco's QB could be this year. TEBOWWWWW It was more the whole Broncos are fucked thing. RGIII would be an improvement on him imo if he could play pretty much every week.

Who the fuck is Olivier Vernon and how has he managed to get 52 million dollars guaranteed D: ex dolphins edge rusher. A position where being above average means getting paid like a star in FA

Really not a fan of the Eagles trading Kiko, Maxwell AND 13th pick, just for the 8th pick. Getting out of Maxwell's ridiculous contract is a definite plus, but Alonso was still on his rookie deal afaik

You've gotten rid of a white elephant contract and moved up 5 spaces in the draft while doing so, it's a huge move.
You can pick up a comparable corner to Maxwell in FA for a fraction of the price and iirc Alonso barely played last year, I think the Dolphins are the ones taking a huge risk

Really not should've been not really - I can see it's a decent deal I'm just not fussed on it. Alonso barely played yeah, think he was worth another year anyway considering how stud he was at Buffalo at very little cost.
Getting rid of Maxwell is a godsend though, 100%

Has the Maxwell trade gone through? I thought I read he refused to work out which means it can be voided? Osweiler is rubbish. Only at Houston so that their staff can take Hackenberg in the draft and have him reboot for a year or two at most after being destroyed every snap in college. I want him to go to the Pats

looooooooooooool
As much as I think Osweiler is average at his very very best, they were better off keeping him than Sanchez.
Still hoping Eagles have a backup plan in case they can't draft Elliott. I'm sure Sproles still has a year cos Mathews can't hack a full season without losing a leg.

Just a quick one: same way as is done with the F1 thread should we split the NFL thread into years? This one has been doing for two and a bit seasons now and I reckon it'd be easier to find things if we had a more solid timestamp (like that Brady Shining gif)
