Yeah they seem set up for something like the pre-Ronaldo galatico era where they seemed in perpetual turmoil with a revolving door of managers and just signed whoever the hot young flavour of the month was every summer.

Masterstroke by Frankfurt though. Had an optional future fee of £6m on Jovic then Real Madrid made their interest known so decided to take it up knowing they’d get big bucks. Owned him for like 3/4 weeks and made £50m+

don't begrudge eriksen wanting to go at all but i also don't think we'll miss him as much as some are making out. somewhere between £60-£75m for a player as inconsistent as he is will be good business ahead of what needs to be quite the overhaul.

I don't think he's any better a player now than when he joined in 2014. Thats not necessarily a bad thing in itself but if I supporter x can read him like a book then so can Premier League defender y. There's so much talent in the player but literally every season he's been here we've got to Feb/March and he's just vanished having only turned up around Oct/Nov time. Now lately we've had a disjointed midfield with players out of position and the easiest thing I can see is sell Eriksen, get Alli back up there with Kane and use the funds to get someone like Ndombele

Real Madrid are too big and the Spanish league isn’t strong enough so that they’ll be also-rans for ages. They had their worst squad and season in over a decade last year and still comfortably came third. Barcelona and Atletico both look on the downturn as well. They’ll go on a massive transfer spree this summer, not a chance they’re that poor again imo.

Whilst I broadly agree I don't think it's as clear-cut as that - they were close to fourth and they were second this year and if Valencia spend wisely or Sevilla put a good run together they could challenge a below-par Madrid. Although yeah, in reality I can't see it either.
Huge summer for Atletico too.

Cheap tbh.
The flat fee anyway.
Rumours that if De Gea goes (although the only place I could see paying for him is PSG and why would he move there?) United are in for Donnarumma.
Please do. Absolute calamity.

£88m for a 28 year old with a year left on his contract? Chelsea have robbed them.

Donnarumma. Please do. Absolute calamity. That's surprising, I'd have thought Cillessen would be the easy choice, be able to get him for sub €40m too. Think the Hazard deal is a great bit of business for both sides really. Chelsea recoup the Pulisic fee and Hazard will likely meet all bonus targets being it's the Spanish league. And also Real get a player who will be able to play 90 minutes for 50+ games, which they didn't get w/ Bale. Vinicius on the other wing and Jovic in the middle, I'll have them top 2 next year easy.

Tbf that was from Milan's side that rumour and given his agent is Raoila, take it with a pinch of salt.

Tbf that was from Milan's side that rumour and given his agent is Raoila, take it with a pinch of salt. Fair. I only watched 2 milan games this year and he was just solid in both, not asked much. Be interested to see his stats compared to Buffon/Toldo/Sirigu etc at the same age. He'd be brave to go behind that revolving door of a backline at Utd though either way.

Raiola’s banned for doing business in Italy and England isn’t he for a while?
