Loaning players is hardly a crime, regardless of circumstances.

Loaning players is hardly a crime, regardless of circumstances. They having to get loans in on a monthly basis to pay the wage bill. Hardly fair on the rest of the clubs in the league if they're then bringing in players from other teams and more than likely not paying their wages. Even more murky if said wages are being paid by the guy currently propping up the club with monthly loans.

We are abysmal at getting any money for players, like the opposite of Chelsea. Got 1.2m for Evra, got a few million at best for Kagawa, now Zaha for £3m. Can't even get the requested £7m for Cleverley, may let him go for free. We'll be doing well to get anything for Anderson and I expect Fletcher to go for next-to-nothing.

Well after Rodriguez, Cuadrado was my favourite player at the World Cup. Hoping he brings the dance to the Bridge!
Also pretty gutted to see Schurrle go but yeah.. Hope it works out for him at Wolfsburg

Caolan Lavery will be a great signing for Chesterfield.
Today's transfer activity at Argyle. Marvin Morgan out on loan to Hartlepool, that is all.

Fletcher died, Anderson probably ate him, Cleverlys only got 6months left on his contract, Zaharias is gash. Kagawa has proven to be £6m badly spent by Dortmund and Evra is in his mid 30s and only had a year on his contract. Schurle is a World Cup winner in his early twenties with time on his contract and is only leaving because there's world class players in front of him. It's not even comparable tbh.

QPR are so desperate they'd probably take Henry to court in the next few days to make sure he honours that fake contract with Jamie Redknapp.

Unfortunately, we seem to have a publicist who is as blunt as you in selling players. You could make a salesman's argument in favour of all of those players, Kagawa former Bundesliga footballer of the year, Cleverley recently was a regular starter for a PL winning team etc. I'm not saying 20m for each of them but we should have probably gotten a few more million on them all. The problem is as much when we decide to sell them it seems to be at their lowest-ebb when their reputation has plummeted rather than seeing that it isn't working out earlier and getting more money from them. Berbatov is another prime example. 5m we got for him, now playing well in the French league. Perfect opportunity to sell him for 15m the season before we sold him and we rejected it. Rep went down, another year gone on the contract and you won't get that money again.

Anyone else think Cuadrado looks like Raymond "The Bastard" from Max & Paddy?

The only player you could really make an argument for is Kagawa. But you need him off your books and it was a position you were overcrowded in. I think Chelsea would have happily kept Schurle had the deal not been right. But you really weren't in that position. And why you think anyone will pay £7m for a player they can get for free in 6months is beyond me.

Mike Ashley and his pals will hopefully be gone once the EGM finally happens anyway.

Think it's fair to say they've been pretty shambolic in the transfer market in terms of selling players

For example, Cleverley shouldn't be in a situation where we're desperately looking for anyone to take him, he could have been sold a year ago for that much or more. England international and all that. Lazy transfer windows and sentimentality have incurred big costs. Chelsea are selling Schurrle while his stock is still high. If they played him as a sub for another 18 months, they'd get half that much at best.

the fact that we might be making a profit on Lambert is probably more impressive then Chelsea's deals
