Aye but flippin them the bird would be one thing, charging at them to do a war dance and throw an imaginary spear at them? Bit naive imo.
Yeah I'd seen a teammate had done similar to support him, and his team are 100% behind him which is good to see.
I'd like to think it's a crowd thing, similar to Russia and parts of Eastern Europe where there's a minority of outright racist bigots, but their booing is joined by the drunken people who feel part of a group and lose some of their inhibitions and boo along with him as the jovial bad guy without thinking of the consequences and what their actions are suggesting.
But then I think of that Reggie Yates documentary in Russia and realise nah, they're just backwards.

Clicked on another link from that page and it had the line "Nowhere in the world are Australian sports fans known for their grace." Which was pretty funny.

Article just says it was one of his team mates. Either way it's clearly racially provoked, aborigines are treated like shit supposedly on a pretty consistent basis so it's hardly surprising, maybe revelatory to people though that Australia isn't some bastion of togetherness or whatever.

Yeah Paul there was a video in the article I think. It's a tough one this because now all the captains within the AFL have come out and told the fans to stop booing him. Again I don't think everybody who boo's him does so because they're racist or do it because of his race.
