I flew via Dublin last year. Would definitely recommend, immigration took a matter of minutes. Air Lingus I think we flew with.

6 of us flying from Inverness to Detroit via Amsterdam, was a good bit cheaper than I expected Not sure what's more terrifying, flying transatlantic with 3 children or the prospect of being shot up by the American Maskya Yoshida

how long will you have over there ic? Sticking to Detroit or having time to explore Michigan a bit? Would recommend getting over to Chicago if you can. Six Flags is probably a 5 hour drive or so from Detroit if that was a possibility either with the kids in tow: www.sixflags.com/greatamerica

Chicago, Columbus, probably a while over the border in Canada as well. Six flags looks amazing, I'll get to go full on djed for a day We are staying with my wife's family so they'll sort us out with all the good tourist shit

Class! I've a million Chicago recommendations as g7vikings can attest, and if you end up in Toronto at any point let me know.

Yes, Conor sorted me out with more than a few recommendations. Deep dish pizza place might have been my favourite though!

I wish mate, would love to get back over soon but I'm in Belfast these days! Though some of the bonfires this time of year could rival the CN Tower I guess

Anyone done South America, in particular Argentina and Brazil? Feeling like a trip to see some football there might be on the cards but will be one to save up for!

Got 4 days in Madrid and 2 in Valencia sorted for the end of the month.
Got tickets for Atletico and Valencia, gonna probably get to Getafe and Rayo Vallecano too. Did most of what I wanted to do in Madrid last time I went so likely looking at a day trip out to Toledo too. Open to any suggestions for Valencia though as we've basically got a free full day to do whatever.

I walked about 45k steps the day I was in Valencia. They have a park that is a reclaimed river so it wraps around a large part of the city centre. Recommend a walk (or bike - can hire like the ones in London) to the 'City of Arts and Sciences'. Didn't go in but the buildings are spectacular and the walk down the park/river is great.

I’m going to Argentina for Christmas... can tell you after that! Unfortunately their season finishes early December But, and get this! Liverpool could be playing Boca or River Plate on my first day in Buenos Aires! Boca play River in the semi final of the Copa Libertadores (however you spell it) so one of them is in the final. If one of them wins the final then they’ll be in the club World Cup, where both them and Liverpool will be favourites to meet in the final! Would be a bit surreal watching that in Buenos Aires!

I'm currently in Prague, any recommendations? Spent most of yesterday walking around exploring the city centre. We're currently on a train to Karlstejn Castle to do more touristy stuff. There's so much and we leave on Monday haha.

There's so much and we leave on Monday haha. Loads. Honest Guide on YouTube have 100's of videos with suggestions but if you're pushed for time - bin off the castle it ain't all that. Petrin Tower is great within the park (and just above the park is the former largest stadium in the world that now hosts Sparta's training stadium. Leena Park is good. Little bit out the way but Visherad is meant to be amazing. Absolutely do not miss going up the towers on either end of the Charles bridge - probably best views in Prague. Beyond that, drink lots of pilsner urquell and try some goulash (there's a local place next to the hooters that's cheap).
