Bollo hasn't experienced the fear of checking your bank account after a night out. Nothing worse than finding about £20 in your pocket and thinking your safe only to later discover you've used your card on three separate occasions too. Mycon say £20 on taxis. £80 on drink and food for the way home. I generally don't go to places where you pay in, but someone may suggest it and that's another few quid. Maybe £20 in the pub before hand, then you'll do £60 easy in town. When I first started going out, approaching 10 years ago now I'd take £50 out and always end up needing another £20. That used to be the standard. But now it's £100 a night near enough. If not more. Saying all that I don't like nights out anymore. Much prefer going out early afternoon. Just as expensive but just enjoy it more now I'm getting older. Ah right, taxis is a big thing. In Dublin I'd either get the bus in or walk in from where I was last year and possibly get a taxi home or even walk home as well. Depends where you live, obviously if you're a good bit out then you have to get a taxi. I'd generally have a few beers before I go out as well in someone's house/my own house which would save a bit of money. Then we generally stay away from bars that cost a lot of money. Student life I suppose. Been in Liverpool twice, was in Brookhouse? I think it was where they had 4 pints for 5 pounds on a Thursday. Wasn't bad that. Think I spent about £50 max each night including taxis

I buy 3 bottles for a fiver and stay in because I'm a boring old man. lul i'd have a heart attack if I spent £100 on a night out, each to their own but do you really need to spend that much to have a good time?eh i suppose i spent that for two days in sweden at liseberg and some would probably look at that and think they could have had a great night out for that. Probably not but that's what seems to happen. I'm really not a sensible person when I've had a few.

Yeah Mycon. The brookhouse is very much on the way out of town. To get drinks cheap on a weekend, you'd have to go to some awful places. And I'd rather not. You don't have to spend that much, no. It's just what happens when you start drinking. Plus it's pretty expensive anyway - you're gonna go close even if you try and be sensible. I don't go out half as much nowadays anyways. Nights in town are mainly reserved for birthdays now. I'm getting too old for it. I've got a week off after tomorrow and very much looking forward to going out drinking in the day. Much prefer that. Few pints at my own pace in better surroundings.

Nights out in town are shit now, full of nobs thinking they're the beans on the shisha in concert square, avoid that place at all costs now.
A joe baxi from Huyton to town is abar 15 quid anyway, and you're such a good lad you throw 20 quid at the fella if he's had a good natter on the way and told you some story's abar birds in the back of his cab.

Day drinking is fun but never stays as just day drinking. Always have to stay out till 5 or 6am after a certain amount.

I still refuse to look at my balance to see how much I spent in York on Saturday. My life in a nutshell. Check it on payday and that's that.

I'm with the old man brigade here.
Went playing football Saturday morning, went back to my mates and started drinking from 12pm, then went to the casino till 7am.
Spent all Sunday in bed, sleeping on and off and still feel shite. Can't hack it anymore.
