World Championships start in about ten minutes, it's so well covered the bbc are covering it from Salford instead of Beijing.
Still mens 100m is Sunday afternoon. Gatlin has been unbeatable all season running 9.7's and setting pbs, bolt has looked poor.
Pluss Jess Ennis <3

Unfortunately.
Dasaolu was a mug, shut down after 50m and got passed.
Gatlin looks scarily fast, Bolt is strange because he was jogging yet breezed thtough.
I thought Gatlin wins with a 9.6 something but have just watched the heats and think Bolt may just pip him. Trayvon Bromell looks a huge prospect, be surprised if he doesn't medal.
Jess and KJT owning things too.
Oh and Mo had a brilliantly controlled race.

Jess has a six second lead essentially going into the 800m. What a babe.
KJT is out of contention after scoring nothing in the long jump. Her third caused some debate as apparently it was a very minor scuff mark on take off but was a long enough jump that she'd probably have ended up a mile in front

Feel sorry for KJT but by the time Rio comes round she may well be favourite.

Aye, apparently if that last jump was legal she'd probably have won it. If she nailed the high jump (did anybody see it? It was shocking, one jump she basically stuttered and still cleared it, another she smacked her head on the upright bar) she'd have won this by a mile.
Mens 400 is stacked too. Two under 44, loads including Rooney under 45.

I love how Daley Thompson just rocks up to the studio in his Karrimor gym clothes. Can sense a bit of needle between him and MJ, too.

Ridiculously poor start from Bolt in the SFs. Had to dig deep to win that. Amazing he still ran 9.96. 99% of top 100m runners would struggle to run under 11 seconds with Bolt's first 10m there. Gonna need a big performance in the final. Gatlin 9.77. Flying

BITW Gabby Logan had it right there, sport at its finest. Legend vs Twat. Twat the favourite. Legend overcomes the odds and wins... Well, she didn't quite say all that, I think she dropped the C word instead. I couldn't be so vulgar.

Huge. Drove homw from work to watch it on my break, shouted at the TV when he won.
Gatlin had it but choked. Running quick times is all good but beating Bolt is something else entitely.
Though I reckon he'll win the 200.
Also called Bromell to medal, bloke has had a huge breakthrough season.

I think if you always win for so long like Bolt then small meets mustn't motivate you too much. But when it comes to a world final then you bring the big show.
