How steep do you reckon the learning curve would be for someone who's never played fallout and isn't really a big fan of FPS games? Would I be better off playing the earlier games first or just jump in with Fallout 4?

General Atomics Galleria. Fuck you, place. I'll see you when I've got some proper weapons.

Theres no carry on from the other games so if you're going to play Fallout you might as well just start with this one. Its not really a FPS game, depends how you want to play it. Its not all about outright shooting your way through places

anyone think this is a major let down? gun play is shocking (feels like a ps2 game), dialogue is embarrassing, movement feels woeful, runs like shit on pc and the story is mega boring so far (not far into it tho i guess), the only good points about the game is the levelling up system, the crazy amount of perks and the way you build shit
shouldnt be anywhere near game of the year, the witcher 3 pisses over it in every single way

Wouldn't say I'm disappointed, just still bugged by a couple of things that have plagued fallout since 3 was first released. Buggy dialogue n load screens should surely be a thing of the past in the modern age of gaming.
Still loving the game though, got my bayonetted modded combat shotgun and a couple of laser weapons and the shootings been fun.
Just getting confused as fuck by the covenant missing caravan missions, anyone else onto them yet?

Time for a night of Fallout 4, see if I can finally get into it properly. Spent more time on WWE 2K16 so far.

Been round the whole town asking people what they know and all of em are suspicious as fuck, went to the part outside of town with the downed brahmin and 'investigated' the bed in town and yet I can't get anywhere, still stuck on check covenant for clues... Have I fucked it or sowt?

If Dogmeat could stop opening alternate doors whilst I'm in the process of stealthily scoping out houses and buildings that'd be grand. Shat the bed on multiple occasions.
Wasteland seems very...clean
Big fan of the weather system though. I imagine dust storms and ghouls/radscorpions will be for this game what metro stations with no lighting were for many on FO3.

Fuck a Radscorpion. Came across them for the first time last night. Wasted about 80 bullets before I realised what the fuck I was doing and just caked them with molotovs.
Also, Super Mutants are my new best mates. I love them, they're surprisingly piss to kill. Complete contrast to Bloodbugs which are too small for my shite aim. There's a small town filled with Super Mutants though, and while it was daunting at first, there's a robot that just murders half of them for you.
Made my first foray towards Diamond City yesterday, en route was a ship filled with Raiders who almost fucked me up but I survived, just.
This game is seriously scary though because the amount of things trying to kill you is phenomenal. Even Dogmeat is still running me in the direction of frag mines.
