Right, I'll open the argument.
Djeds isn't a great comeback because it just isn't "great". Spurs winning 4-3 at West Ham is ten times better. I get where he's coming from but it's heart ruling head stuff.
Cos's isn't a comeback. It's the story of a hat-trick of consolation goals. Heart and head.
Benneh's is the best of a bad bunch because it's not as great an escape as West Bromwich or even Leicester last year. I was a part time Latic when they were in the PL and yeah you have to admire them but their survival stories are like a pair of Nicks or Aribas trainers.

Barcelona lost 1 game in the 2010/2011 Champions League, a tournament they went on to win against Manchester United with such ease that even Sir Alex Ferguson said afterwards that they were "the best team he had ever faced".
And we beat them.
Having been 1-0 down.
This wasn't just a poor one-off performance that we capitalised on, this wasn't even a solid rearguard performance. This was Guardiola's Barcelona playing at their absolute peak, and we beat them.

Would that 3-1 at White Hart Lane have happened, were it not for those "consolation goals"? At 4-0 down, Spurs were the side everyone had expected them to be; overmatched. The Champions League was a step too far for a club that had just become the first in almost a decade to break the "big 4". At 4-0, they were ready to take their dues, enjoy the group stages and then maybe drop in the Europa League if they scraped 3rd
At 4-3, they were a side to be taken seriously. That side then topped the group, beat Milan at the San Siro, and outlasted every other English club in the competition. The effects of those "consolation goals" extended far beyond the 90 minutes that contained them.
So no, maybe losing 4-3 isn't a proper comeback in footballing terms. But in terms of confidence, reputation and resolve, there's none like it.
Did Arsenal's masterful comeback spur them to progression? No. Did Wigan's miraculous escape lead to them cementing themselves as a Premier League side? No. Granted, Manchester United won 3 of the following 4 league titles, but they were already English football's powerhouse, having won 4 of the 6 prior.

I'll reply in detail tomorrow but I'm tired so a snide response will have to do. That Wigan escape led directly to their FA Cup triumph and the greatest moment in an admittedly sparse of great moments club history. What did Spurs' Champions League season lead to? A record fee for Gareth Bale and a few nice memories but no trophies and Tim Sherwood as manager.
(This isn't reflective of my actual view, I'm arguing a point, don't hate me)

Beyond outlasting Chelsea, United and Arsenal in Europe that yearA, it led to (what seemed like) a title challenge in the following season, before mistakes were made in January 2012 and it all went to shit, a full 14 months after that game in Milan. Those were probably the most successful 14 months Spurs have had since the 60s

But you can hardly credit a consolation hat trick for the next 14 months? That's merely what it was; a consolation.
But being the only team in the entire competition to beat the eventual winners, winners of whom were widely lauded by those with far superior knowledge than ours as the best team of all time?
We did it.
And I didn't fancy using my trump card just yet, but we did it with Johan fucking Djourou starting, Bendtner playing his part and Andrei bloody Arshavvvvvvvvvvvvin scoring the winner.

Ach Bales hat trick merely introduced him to the world, we already knew how good he was. Also, We won the group on points, not goal difference.
Arsenal beat Barcelona in their pomp with Djourou? Tch, Celtic beat them six months later with Efe Ambrose.

Djourou and Eboue started.
Against a front three of Pedro, Villa and Messi. Fed by Xavi and Iniesta in their absolute pomp.
And at 1-0 down we went on Bendtner and Arshavin.
And we fucking won.

Aye, they all played at Parkhead too. They weren't invincible. Also, I see your Arshavin and Bendtner and raise you Miku and Samaras. Neither of whom scored that night, hell they probably didn't even manage a shot a piece.
And Celtic won.
