Imagine being an engineer at Mercedes, building the best car on the grid for 3 years running, twice as good as the next best constructor have managed, with only competition for your driver being from his inferior driver partner, thus giving him 2 fairly easy world championships, with a 3rd one out of 3 still possible, and having these comments after his first mechanical failure retirement of the season:
"My question is to Mercedes. We have so many engines made, but mine are the only ones failing this year.
"Someone needs to give me some answers because this is not acceptable. We are fighting for the championship and only my engines are failing. It does not sit right with me."
If it's that bad, fuck off to Ferrari or Red Bull then, let's see how many world championships you win there, ungrateful prick.

If it's that bad, fuck off to Ferrari or Red Bull then, let's see how many world championships you win there, ungrateful prick. Your hate for Hamilton is blinkered to the point of parody. I'm honestly ambivilant. I don't like him and I don't understand the amount of support he gets given his constant petulant arsey outbursts, especially since the same people seem to dislike his rivals (Rosberg, Vettel) for those reasons, but I wouldn't say I hate him - which bit is wrong in what I've said? I honestly think his comments are disgraceful and if I worked at Mercedes I'd fucking hate him for being a whiny little entitled prick. My defence of Vettel, and I'll extend it somewhat to Hamilton here, is that in the heat of a post-race, when you've been driving for however many laps 180mph, emotions are heightened to such an extent that you will say comments that appear dickish, but with Vettel, his comments were almost always aimed at other drivers, Hamilton seems to go off on his own team, and in the wildest, most unsubstansiated ways and surely that's just out of order. If Liverpool lose their next match and Klopp comes out post-match and says that Firmino missed an easy one-on-one chance, the stupid cunt, not the first time he's done that either...strange that isn't it...almost like he wants us to lose and me to get the sack... he'd be called a lunatic. If Mercedes were honestly plotting a conspiricy to make Rosberg win the world championship, they'd just not have Hamilton in the opposite car... this idea that has spread from Hamilton, to your average F1 Hamilton fan, that Mercedes have some vendetta against Hamilton is just ridiculous when they've just handed him two world championships back-to-back. He's won it, by virtue of being miles better than Rosberg, and if he loses this one to Rosberg, it'll be because he's had the lionshare of bad luck in comparison to Rosberg, absolutely, no arguing that, but it's not like he hasn't got a car that's miles better than anyone else on the grid, like I say, if they're treating you that badly Lewis, go and drive for someone else... And if his mechanics do keep failing while the other 7 Mercedes cars on the grid aren't, as he's saying, then it points to the way he's driving it, surely? Edit: Just read the comments he made in Djed's post - seems to acknowledge that I was right and his comments were out of order, and it's a far more reasonable assessment, and his defence similar to the one I said I'd allow him given its the one I'd use for Vettel in the past (who btw took absolute pelters from you lot for less than Hamilton's moaning...). I still struggle to get behind someone who thinks 'the struggle is real' having won 6 races and finished on the podium another 6 times from 16 races though.

They're all as bad as each other. Vettel had 4 years of constant, dominant success in a team that made him who he is and ensured he was no.1 and after one bad year he spat the dummy out and went to Ferrari.
I'm not even sure Hamilton was claiming conspiracy, he just said something isn't right, which it isn't. I find it hard to believe it's just bad luck he's the only Merc powered driver having these issues. Either as you say it's his driving style or there's an issue with the installation which is what Martin Brundle said.
His ERS failed in 3 of the first 5 quali sessions of the year, that's not down to driving style when a quali session only lasts 10-15 minutes.

Hamilton walks out of a press conference refusing to answer any questions because of the 'disrespectful' coverage journalists gave his 'super-lighthearted' snapchat stories.

could you imagine the uproar if Rosberg had pulled what Hamilton did earlier on? As usual though Nico acted with class in the aftermath. Delighted for him

Hamilton made it interesting and a race instead of just a few victory laps from Rosberg. People seem to be against proper racing these days.

Problem with the total lack of competition for Mercedes is that Rosberg basically just had to finish the race without any incidents to win. If there was another car on the field that could compete then it would've made for an interesting situation going in but has there been a single race all year where a Mercedes has finished outside the top 3 having driven a clean race (ie. no breakdowns, collisions or penalties)?

I'd have loved Hamilton to go full Senna and just send Rosberg into the barriers early doors and just pissed his way to the finish line just to see how much the anti-Hamilton brigade went on about it.
