I'm over birthdays - till next April at least. I should be picking the keys up to my house on Friday though if you all wish to congratulate me on that? Unless they're particularly heavy keys I don't see why that deserves congratulations. He's not dipped them from a bin?

Glorious day for this city. 27 years for this day. Fantastic.

Wow. What a verdict. A full house.
Finally the truth and finally justice!
Major police errors before and after match, plus police and ambulance services failed to respond and Sheffield Wednesday and partners didn't have their house in order.

And for all those that have said over the years "are they still on about that?"
Fuck off

27 years though. Think about that. It is madness. I was one year old when this happened. I've gone through the best part of 20 years of education, three jobs, two girlfriends, two cars and I'm about to buy my first home. And yet the victims, the families, the fans are only now getting the justice they've had to fight unfathomably hard for because of the lies and corruption at almost all levels of the state, alongside a complicit and nasty part of the media.
Makes you wonder what else.

Not to mention loveable scamp Boris Johnson blaming the victims to further his career.
I imagine relief and joy will be replaced by anger over the next few days but its a great day. The depth of corruption is still astonishing.

David Conn has done a brilliant job of covering the inquests, brilliant reporting throughout.

Can't make it's mind up, one minute it was a solid snow storm and two minutes later it's clear blue skies and sunshine. Five minutes later it's snowing again.

Stunning speech from Andy Burnham in parliament here. The contrast between when he first spoke at Anfield to speaking at the 25th anniversary, and the speech today, is indiciative of how much he's been personally moved by the strength and persistence of all those involved.
