That prick Raiola getting £18m out of the transfer makes me sick though. If football hadn't jumped the shark, it has now.

Haha i love it when Utd fans still try to deny they're attempting to buy the league £100m on 1 player. Someone who you released a few seasons ago. Its genuinely the most embarrassing transfer ever. I would agree. Buying him for over 100 times the price he was sold is amazing and something I'm uncomfortable with.

I love Pogba, but I worry for him that he could get turned into a £100m water carrier with this transfer. You'd assume Mourinho will play his 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, however you wish to label it and then you have to assume Mkhitaryan will be the #10 (the perfect Mourinho #10 btw), so Pogba will be left to play as 1 of 2 central midfielders, where he struggled to make an impact for France.
Plenty of problems (nice ones, I guess) with these signings so far. You can't see how Rooney & Zlatan get in the same team, which creates a story each week when one is left out. And does Martial do what Mourinho likes of his wide men? Can't see much of a future for Depay. Is Fellaini going to become an even bigger shithouse or cast aside? It's interesting to see how it all comes together.

They are saying that the estimated cost of the Pogba transfer is €234.5M, including a whopping €14m signing-on fee and €22m agent fee.

Worth it for guaranteed Champions League football next season.

For the prices being banded about we should be getting Bale or Neymar. I think we're stupid shelling out such a massive amount for one player but it's not my money so I don't really give much of a fuck. I still think we need another couple of players even if this deal goes through, our defense and wide options are still a bit iffy.

Worth it for guaranteed Champions League football next season. Do you think Pogba, an ageing Ibrahimovic and a manager who led a better squad to a relegation fight is guaranteeing Champions League football?

We could have got top four last season without any of the new signings if LvG wasn't useless. Fucking Hodgson would have got 4th with us given the standard of the league last season. Top 4 should be the minimum expectation this season and we should be challenging for the title and cups.

Uniteds spending in the last three seasons really is up there with Chelsea and City when their new owners first came in and they were accused of buying the league. Not quite the same as Chelsea. Chelsea are out on their own at the start of the Abramovich years, they spent 3 times the next team in the league for two or three seasons in a row when he came. Chelsea spent £150m in a different time, while United might spend the same this summer, you'll get other teams spending £100m as well at least. For example last season, despite United spending a ridiculous amount of money, Man City spent more. So there's a bit of a difference between say one team financial dominance in 'buying the league' and three teams spending the same amount and 'buying the league' say. Good point tbf.

Clearly forgotten most of your squad or you think a 35 year old is going to destroy the league.
Prop bet now that Charlie Austin will score more than Ibrahimovic in the league this season.

We're hardly just relying on Zlatan, Martial and Rashford will rip the league apart, although Rashford will probably have to do it from the bench with Jose in charge.

Martial is a winger so he wont be ripping anything apart. Mourinho will have to change his entire outlook for Rashford to stand a chance of more than 10 starts this season.

Never mind Ibra, Mkhitaryan will be our best signing.
