It's a discussion I was having at both work last week and at a party last night. It comes up quite often on here too. When is premier league bubble going to burst?
The thing I took from it this time, was just how few people paid for access to both Sky Sports & BT Sport. They were all football fans I was taking to and yet a lot either had neither or just one. Which I found interesting. Hence the poll. Most people here can't justify having both, and a lot either have a dodgy box or a fire stick. Maybe it's just the circles I'm in and you lot pay for both, but it just got me wondering how tv money can continue to rise when so few are subscribing to their channels.
Went round the house a bit explaining that, but the poll is the most inportant thing here.
As for me, I've got virgin and you get bt sport with the XL package. I've said I'll get sky sports Nov-Jan because more football is on then and the NFL is on. But I get gamepass anyway and the play offs are available live this year so might not even bother.

I pay for both currently but only cause when I tried to cancel BT they offered me it for £9.99 a month, when that ends in around February I'll be cancelling.

I had sky but cancelled that last month. Use my sisters login for bt sport and got my mums skygo for sky sports now. Fuck paying for either of them, dont represent value for money anymore.

Pay for Sky Sports and refuse to pay for BT Sports. Have ranted about Sky numerous times and tweeted them abuse about their lies about PL coverage and increasing fee's to no response.
With the likes of reddit, twitter and also acestream, I've considered dropping them both and relying on streams for all my sports coverage but with Sky also having F1, cricket, NFL, La Liga, it's just easier + can get it in HD.
I fancy when the Champions League rights are back up for renewal, Sky will either blow BT out the water for them or BT will overspend on it and have to concede some of their PL package. With Discovery rumoured to be in the mix partnered with Al Jazeera, if a third party gets itself involved then I'll probably drop Sky.

Get BT for free with the same Virgin XL bundle you're on, Gary so I tend to watch most PL games on there.
Find a stream whenever there is a big game I want to watch on SKY - my interest in football has wained enough that I'm generally not even that arsed now to watch football unless its two top 6 teams playing each other or unless there is something riding on it like a new manager vs his old club or a heated derby game or something.
Will occasionally also watch a match in a pub or whatever but only if I'm there anyway rather than going out with intent to watch football.

I'm all about my 256kbps Ukranian coverage. Grainier than Brighton beach.

Pay for both now that we've switched to Sky TV & broadband. Is there any other country that comes close to what football fans in the UK have to pay to watch football? Whether it's match tickets or paying to watch on TV it seems like we're being made mugs of.

Had Sky until the football ended and Setanta until the Hockey was over.
Setanta pack isn't that bad for €20 a month considering you get all the BT channels, setanta for a 3pm Saturday game and a whole load of ice hockey basically every day for nine months.
Sky is a rip off though, it's paying for all the basic channels that you don't need or want that's the screw job there. If you could just get Sky Sports and nothing else for about €20 a month I'd have it no bother.
Got a friend who has a dodgy box that gets everything I was paying for and more, gonna get him to sort me out for next season.

Sky paid for at the house as part of the bills but I'd pay for Sky Sports anyway for other sports as much as football. Especially golf, since it basically has all of it now. If I just watched football, I probably wouldn't bother paying for it.

Amazon Fire Stick is all you need these days. Much prefer Fox Sports/NBC coverage anyway
