Never realised how bad rental prices were in Dublin, jesus. You moving there? Prepare to pay €3000 a week for a single room.

Both grand spots, Drumcondra would be my preference but only because I know it a lot better than Kilmainham. If you get anywhere near the Luas red line as well that goes right by the IFSC. Congrats on the job btw!

Thanks pal, its a far cry from going to Canada...for now haha! You can get to within a 10 minute walk of the IFSC fairly handy from everywhere, good location for a job. I used to be over there quite a bit for NCI and it's a good spot. I'm living near Drumcondra but considering moving out/moving back home for a while, since I can work from home on my job. Find a place in Dublin is brutal though, you get sick of seeing 50 people viewing a house and them asking you the most personal details to decide if they want you as a tenant. While the house costs €600-700 a month. Nightmare.

Being Preferable, I'd love somewhere around the red line, handier for transport with the luas in.
haha Aye it seems that, the room mate search function on Daft is dire, its actually embarrassing when you see the most cramped apartments and people cramming into sharing a room with someone for the sake of saving a few hundred euro.
600-700 aint bad.

Yeah I've been here 5-6 years so I remember the standard being in the 400-500 each range. A room I used to live in a shared house for 360 in 2013 is now 600, which sums up the recent inflation.

Twitter (I'll stress that again) TWITTER is saying that a bomb went off in Manchester arena after an Ariana Grande concert.
None of the major news channels are covering it atm so I dunno how severe it is.
