The mad cynic in me is thinking this is a fucking weird event to choose though considering there was an event in Manchester with nearly 80,000 in attendance. That was my justification for believing it may not have been a bomb at first.

The longer it goes on though I'm thinking if it was a technical fault it would of been confirmed by now.

No way it was a technical fault. They were saying it was in a pick up area and after the concert had finished.
Sounds targeted for when people were leaving.

Which is quite similar to what happened in Paris in November 2015 isn't it? They had bombs set for the post-panic rush.
I mean I'm usually the first to be on the defensive. But if it's a bomb, we've a good idea who it was.

absolutely terrible. almost horrible to say but all of these events seem so far south of where i live, never think it's coming this far north. completely stunned
and the state of twitter is almost as depressing

I feel numb, no one should go to a concert and not come home. I'm in disbelief, and now you've got people like myself questioning whether you're safe to go somewhere. The world is fucked

The most heart wrenching thing about this, is it's a fucking Ariana Grande concert, you're looking at young girls from children to teens being the majority of the crowd. That's just fucking harrowing on every level. A potential terrorist attack where your main targets are fucking kids.

I graduated round the corner from here 10 months ago and my cousin lives and works in the same little corner of Manchester as the MEN. I've seen someone I went to uni with on one of the videos. I'm not trying to make myself a victim of this or anything it's just so alien to me that it's so close. At least the London attacks make me feel easier being hundreds of miles away but this is a half an hour trip down the M62.

Isis have taken responsibility, seeing pictures (if they're real) of tweets saying Manchester are you ready? at half 6 in the evening.

They all seem to be half 6 in the evening in some US time zone.

Dreading hearing the ages of the ones killed, can not for the life of me imagine what those families are going through right now.
