Amazes me that 2 years ago Kane/Vardy was considered a genuine debate by some. Imagine my disbelief when there was a genuine debate between Henderson and Dier only two weeks ago!!

Gulf between the two is nowhere near the gap in quality between King Hurry and vardy tho

I think the gap between Henderson and Dier is pretty close to Kane and Vardy. Dier is shocking on the ball compared to Henderson.
Also how bad has Loftus-Cheek been these last two games?

I’ve never seen much of RLC... got a few Evertonian mates who love him, but not seen anything to suggest he’s better than Tom Huddlestone so far.
Almost sure he needs and will have surgery on his ankle after the World Cup though, so willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

nah i would as well, i do like henderson
personally i dont think there is a huge difference in class between them though but yeah id rather have henderson in my team
dier is pretty much pointless in this system, he needs someone who can actually pass a ball next to him

I’d get Jones/Cahill off and get someone who can pass on and move Dier CB. Too many plodders in this team.

Different players compared to when Dier first came over to Spurs imo. Dier can score but Henderson knows how to drive forward. Dier has become over the past couple years too reliant on having an Eriksen or Dembele to pass to, and a SuperJan or Toby to cover him. Henderson can largely do what he wants all over centre mid.
How on earth are Chelsea looking to loan RLC out again? He is a proper talent isn't he.

Like I say every time Dier is bought up on here, watch Dier play for Tottenham and watch a very good player because we're not looking for a natural defender in there as a ball winner to be our flippin playmaker. We have no need for him to ever make a pass more than 15, 20 yards because thats not his job, never has been, probably never will be
