So in order to revive interest in the Copa Del Rey this year, the Spanish Federation scrapped replays and also made sure that the equivalent of their third round, where the big teams all come into it, means the lower league teams are always at home in those games.
It's lead to Ibiza hosting Barcelona and, after threatening to go 2 goals up yesterday, only succumb to a last minute winner from Griezmann. Real Madrid went to Salamanca yesterday and took on a side created in 2015 as a phoenix club.
And just now, Cultural Leonesa in the third division of Spanish football have just knocked out Atletico in extra time.
They've got a fuckload of things wrong with Spanish football lately but seeing the crowds and the games Barca, Real and Atletico have been involved in this week, there's definitely something to be learnt.

Has there been a more disappointing signing in the last 12 months than João Felix?

He’s a victim of his price tag. Big step up in terms of opposition quality and they’ve paid for what he could be further down the line rather than what he is now because while he’s shown flashes, he’s not a €100m+ player and won’t be for a little while, at least.
But to your point I actually think there’s been loads, even some in the Prem. Griezmann, Hernandez, Maguire have all been disappointing so far.

All those listed have at least done something though, maybe it's because it's fresher in the mind but I can't recall him doing anything for Atletico since signing. At this rate he's not gonna continue developing because he's in a team that can't create nor play to his strengths.

The only thing he’s done is actually score against Tranmere today.

Played well at the Etihad iirc - and in less serious news, Sky Sports had him down as a successful signing

This one was worse because after the initial mistake, he then takes it away from Smalling who would have cleared it too. Hilarious none the less.
