Shambles is putting it very kindly. Who would have thought that Dido Harding would fuck this up too?

Would screw over Dundalk.
I'm trying not to buy conspiracies about Trump and not actually having it but if be does, is going on a fucking drive by of his supporters outside of the hospital in a car full of people the most ridiculous thing he's ever done?

Yeah it seems ridiculous to me to drive past Trump supporters when you could mow them down

I’m not opening the door for anyone.
In other news those 22,000 new infections got missed off the latest figures because our world beating track and trace system is being run off an automated Excel spreadsheet that reached its max file size.

He literally said the other day people aren't being disciplined enough and tougher measures may need to be implemented, now he's saying go to the cinema.
It's an absolute fucking joke and an embarrassment.

Huh, turns out people were right when they were blaming Bill Gates for this whole thing.

Haha fucking Excel!
Both the government's and Serco's continued incompetence is laughable at this point.

Shaqiri has now tested positive for coronavirus, that's our third player in the last couple of weeks.

Talk of total lockdown in ROI again. NPHET (health advice folks) have recommended Level 5 for 4 weeks for the whole country Government rejected NPHET's advice and have gone for Level 3 nationally for 3 weeks. Last night was a farce. Government blaming NPHET for the leak but it stinks of a leak from within teh government, I'm specifically blaming Leo Varadkar to be honest. His performance on primetime television last night *as the government press conference was ongoing* was a total populist performance. Government trying to field questions from the media about the relationship between Cabinet and NPHET while the Tánaiste goes on a tirade about NPHET's behaviour. He also had the fucking GALL to say "poverty is one of the biggest killers as well, you know". From *him*, of all fucking people. What a slimy prick. He's playing a political long game since the election in February and he doesn't give two fucks about anything else. Fianna Fáil have been completely played politically. The sad thing is that people will definitely die. Our hospital capacity is one of the worst in Europe after decades of policy decisions to get us to this point, so the hospitals are going to be overwhelmed pretty quickly. I understand trying to balance the economy against this stuff but when you have the IMF telling countries to use the fund for public investment and never mind national debt in these times, then it really is inexcusable for Irish political parties to still hand wring about the fucking balance sheet.

Well there goes all of Sturgeon's goodwill over how she's handled things. Pubs can't serve alcohol indoors but are still technically open so basically no help will be provided for them.

Closing restaurants past 6 is definitely bizarre. Basically better off not being open and will destroy a lot of independents with your KFCs continuing to exist through uber eats.
The no home visits rule made me lose some faith and this has made me lose a bit more. I'm literally just going to be sitting at home drinking beers myself after work cos there is fuck all else to legally do.

Well there goes all of Sturgeon's goodwill over how she's handled things. Pubs can't serve alcohol indoors but are still technically open so basically no help will be provided for them. There's a lot to criticise the SNP/Sturgeon over the handling of this but that's an odd comment considering she announced financial assistance to all sectors affected by todays further restrictions. She's lost a lot a support in the North-East because she locked down Aberdeen (pubs closed and no guests in your house) when there was 20 cases per 100,000. Glasgow cases were rising well beyond 20 into the 50's and above. Instead of putting the same restrictions on Glasgow there was a nationwide ban on visiting each others households. That hasn't seemed to help and now pubs across the whole country have restrictions placed on them - albeit stricter ones in Glasgow & surrounding areas. The narrative here is she could have saved the whole country from todays restrictions by locking down Glasgow when they hit the same case level as what triggered the Aberdeen lockdown.
