was supposed to be flying to Cheltenham tomorrow but with one of the lads getting married in 2 weeks and two with newborns we've decided to stay put will the wedding be able to go ahead with the ban on gatherings?? Yeah there are under 100 people invited so it's going ahead for the moment.

I just thought it was funny how he was saying Boris had the right approach and all that, liking tweets saying similar and then as soon as Arteta gets it, they can’t possibly make them play anymore 😂 Why not? This was the idea they had and he was agreeing with it, you either agree with it or you don’t. You can’t change your mind because one person has it. Yeah you've entirely made up your own point and attributed it to me there. Don't recall saying this is the right approach at all, rather that I can understand it. And the reason for saying surely they can't make us play wasn't because one person had it, but because our first team squad were in quarantine which I'm sure was in the same quote I posted?

In fact in a previous post id even said I still find the whole sports and mass gatherings still going ahead as odd.

Why would you find it odd though? It's exactly what they want, they pretty much said so. They want herd immunity and for that to happen x amount of people have to catch the virus. I say they want herd immunity, that's if it is even possible.
Thankfully the leagues have taken it out of their hands.

And my point was the FA couldn't expect us to fulfill a fixture with a first team squad in quarantine, nor our ladies to complete our FA cup game with a training ground in lockdown. I found it odd because of the suggestion there wasn't an increased risk of transmission at games which goes against everything we've seen in other countries.
I shared the spectator link about herd immunity because I found it interesting - and am wondering how they've managed so far to get away without major scrutiny in the media for basically admitting they're letting people die in the short term.

Holy fuck. The PL and EFL suspending the season makes perfect sense. But tier 7-10 leagues who get 50-150 fans in also cancelling? Seems like lots of them just wanted to be able to put out "that tweet" and feel a part of something. Ridiculous. At some of these grounds it's the furthest I am from another human all week.

I'm about to get really into some really weird sports for the next few months.

Suspending the remainder of the season until late this year could actually work really well in terms of the eventual transition to the winter World Cup in two years, but going 6 months without football is going to be difficult, I’m intrigued to see how productive I can be as a contributor to society without Liverpool taking up so much of my time.

Between no sport and no travel to look forward to I'm genuinely worrying about managing my own mental health tbh - I get through the working week by looking forward to getting to Arsenal games at the weekend or following Spanish football, and when it starts to wear me down I always have a trip lined up to get away.
I've got a bunch of books to grind through if I do have to self-isolate (which is possible, someone from work has just had to and I've been in meetings with her all week), and I guess the other thing is that with so little else going on the news will be even more dominated by it than it is now.

My parents are in Spain and I’m starting to get really worried they’ll be stuck there. My Dad is being really blasé about it but they’re scheduled to come back in 2 weeks anyway so why the fuck stick it out when travel restrictions could kick in?! Can tell my Mum is super anxious to get home as well it’s really worrying

I'd be telling them to get back whilst they still can - every chance flights will start being cancelled, Madrid is almost a ghost town with Catalonia following suit, and they're enacting a nationwide state of alarm from tomorrow.

My dad has had terrible heart problems and seems like he might be most affected by it yet they're acting like they couldn't give a shit and aren't taking any kind of precautions. They are both able to work from home but aren't doing it yet.
It's driving me mental but you can't reason with them.
