Move over 19/20 - nobody has cared since last August. The road to Gdansk restarts now! Draw for the Preliminary Round takes place today with the big dogs in QR1 being drawn tomorrow. Aberdeen and Motherwell go in as seeded sides and could face the likes of Locomotive Tbilisi, Kauno Zalgiris or Union Titus Petange. From elsewhere on these isles Bohemians, Derry City, Bala Town, Barry Town United, Coleraine and Glentoran will also be involved. These will all be one-legged qualifiers and played behind closed doors - no matter what the local government restrictions are - so there'll be no adventures this summer This is the last season of this format for the Europa League and likely the last chance for most of these teams to make an impact on this fine stage. Next summer only the Scottish Cup winner will get Europa League with the 3rd and 4th placed teams going into the new Europa Conference League. NI, Wales and Ireland will have no Europa League spots.

NSÍ Runavík (FRO) or Barry Town United (WAL) come to Pittodrie on 27th August. Barry would have been a class away trip.

I’ve heard too much about this amazing midfield with Pogba and Fernandes to watch it be outplayed by Copenhagen.

Ref in the Inter game absolutely desperate to give a pen to inter but the VAR guys eventually talked him out of it cos it was such a shite call. I'm convinced he just didn't want to look silly in the end.

it's almost as if Copenhagen thought there was a 2nd leg to come, no urgency at all

If you ever wanted to hear how Black players are talked about differently 5 mins of BT sport on Traore is enough.

When do you ever see pens given for attempted blocks? What the fuck.

I generally don't buy into the Penalty FC stuff, if anything I'd have thought it would leave referees less likely to award.
But that one is laughable, a shove in the box just now was waved away when there was no attempt to play the ball.

Bloody hell this Bono is having a great game for Sevilla because United have definitely had The Edge in this game but he’s kept them at bay.

You can tell at the start of the second half United were getting better but it just felt the same. They didn’t take those chances and it’ll make it easier on them now they’ve got someone to blame because Maguire and Williams have spent all game getting bullied. The thing that stands out for me the most with Maguire is his body positions when his full back is exposed. He gives himself away but they paid big money it’s just a situation where they can’t live with or without him for that reason. And on the Suso goal you can see De Gea clearly just thinking “hello, hello. ¿Dondé está?” when Williams lost his man.
