Imagine how shit football would be without him and Liverpool pushing City. Would be like Bundesliga Yeah but you could say the exact same thing about Pep and City. 'Imagine how shit football would be without Pep and City, preventing Liverpool from becoming the Bayern of England.' If one of them wasn't there then the other runs away with it with Chelsea finishing a little over ten points behind them. I know you're not saying this directly but I find the whole 'thank god for Klopp, he's saving English football' a bit sickly tbh. I disagree - jonaldinho2004 covers it slightly, the fact City are where they are is purely because of financial investment. They'd have been too of the league regardless of who it was behind them. With Liverpool I genuinely think they'd be closer to the pack if City weren't around - the competition has just forced them to raise their level to compete. Without City they probably rest/rotate more and drop more points and seem more beatable. I don't like either club, and the quadruple talk has been sickening at times. But with Liverpool you feel it could end any time now if Klopp goes or Salah goes. With City you just know they'll still be there regardless of what happens because of their financial clout.

They’ll still be in the top 2 or 3 without Pep but I don’t think you can say they’d have won the leagues they have with anyone else. It was money and Guardiola that got them where they are, look at United they’ve spent almost as most as City and they’re nowhere near because they’ve had shit managers and recruitment for years.
I genuinely believe that in the 2 years that Liverpool lost the league with 90+ points, no one else would have beaten them with City other than Pep.

yeah i think people do Pep a massive disservice when saying its literally only the money that has City there. of course they can afford to buy who they want, but as other clubs have proven over the years, it doesnt matter how much you spend on players if the manager and tactics arent there to make everything work together. everton have spent 500m and just about stayed up, utd have spend fuck knows how much and barely get into the europa league cos of awful management.

The other thing, and this isn’t a City problem given it’s happened now at Forest, Port Vale and Goodison, is these pitch invasions. I’ve never seen us do one before but mainly because it’s been a long time since we’ve won something on our ground with fans in attendance, but supporters seem to be doing them more and more now and fans are actually just attacking players and managers as if that’s a normal thing to do
Robin Olsen getting literally chased off the pitch by a couple of supporters at one point while stewards are desperately trying to get him to safety today was uncomfortable, Vieira getting abuse from someone to the extent that he lashed out, Billy Sharp getting headbutted at full speed. It’s mad to me and it’s going to end up that supporters bear the brunt of it when they start erecting fences around the pitch and having to reduce capacities to keep safety standards up. You’d think after 2 years of not being able to go the match people would be appreciative of the privilege we have to be able to go but it’s gone worse in some cases
I honestly thought fans up and down the country adopting that “you shit bastard ahhhhh” thing that some of the more Yorkshirish Yorkshire clubs do was going to be the thing that irritated me most about this season but this has just showed up lately to take top spot (very aware pitch invasions have been happening for years but never seen such disregard for the humanity of the players before)

Feel like it's set up for Grealish. I know it’s not the focus today but ahahahahahahahaha Why was he the man being interviewed and all. Barely played this year.

Pitch invaders all tend to look like the type of cunts who put me off going to pubs and clubs after I turned about 21, stone island knackers and cunts just far enough removed from being bullied at school they're in the process of reinventing themselves as an ard man
See one tool running around on the etihad pitch yesterday with what must have been a one or two year old kid. The fucking state of it

Curious to see if he extends his contract after next season. I’d think with Haaland coming in, De Bruyne having extended until 2025 (I think) and Klopp staying until 26 that he probably will. I think he enjoys the battle he’s had here probably as much as he did with Mourinho in Spain
I still think he needs that European Cup though. He’s won more consistently and with bigger points totals than Mancini and Pellegrini did but for all the 90+ point seasons, the 100 point season and the general dominance, the title people remember most was won by Mancini. I reckon if you ran a poll of 100 people from their centurion season half of them wouldn’t know who finished second
I really dislike Pep, as a general character, and I don’t enjoy watching his teams play, so you all know my biases against him anyway, and he is City’s greatest manager without a doubt, but other than the volume of domestic trophies he hasn’t done much different than Mancini and Pellegrini did, he’s just been given time and resources they weren’t. I also think that if City win it, he leaves, and that makes City a less attractive club, despite all of it

Don’t get what’s really wrong there? He was brought in to win the European cup and hasn’t yet?
Like if you wanna actually address anything in particular there and tell me what you disagree with, go for it

Was he actually? Or is that just what people say? I'm sure they desperately want to win it but I've never seen them say that's why he was brought in. I'd imagine he was brought in to create a dynasty and dominate football as much as they can which he has done.
The rest of it about not doing much more than Mancini or Pellegrini, do you actually believe that? Of course Mancini's is the most memorable title win, it's the most memorable title win in Premier League history because it was won in the last seconds of the game. It's probably the most memorable cup or league win of all time, how the hell is that a criticism? You reckon he should make sure all title races are close and then wait until the 95th min to win them to prove his greatness?
People don't know who finished 2nd when they won the league with 100 points, right? And? I don't get what your point is.

Flying dangerously close to policing celebrations but how Grealish is front and centre of all the City stuff whilst clearly on a four day bender seems a bit much for me.

He's done that before tbh.
Idk, feels like he's flying a bit too close to the sun.
