Minshew Mania in the city of Sin? I am actually quite excited by that signing. He might throw some games away with dodgy picks but he’ll definitely make some throws that AOC just absolutely can’t, and he can kind of run the ball as well

daveyposhboy you reckon the Raiders would still be in on a first round QB in the draft? Minshew was happy to back up Anthony Richardson before he got injured last season tbf. Wilkins and Crosby will be a pain in the arse to play against on the d-line. That's a great signing for you imo.

Think so, everything I’ve read is either trade up with NE to #3 and take Daniels if he’s there (now unrealistic as Jones has gone to JAX) or take a CB1 at #13 and trade back up late into the first for someone like Penix for the 5th year option, and have him sit the year Either are pretty sound options really. Really exited for Wilkins, that D line desperately needed someone to just plug in and play last year, should tidy up the run defence considerably and make the race for 2nd behind KC in the AFCW a bit more interesting

Aaron Donald as well (( should be retiring as the undisputed GOAT but voters basically got bored of writing his name every year

Any reason why the Eagles went for Pickett over Fields if both were available as backups?

I think Pickett going to Philly sealed Fields’ fate as a back up, up to that point Chicago (and probably Fields) were advertising him as a QB1 and wanted QB1 compensation.
Plus, Pickett will be cheaper a year from now when Hurts is still QB1, whereas in a year Fields could be starting for Pittsburgh based on Wilson’s age and contract
Edit - on Spotrac, Pickett is only due $3mil this year and next whereas Fields is due $25mil next year for his fifth year

Based purely on contracts Fields is the more likely starter, no?
