A big failure is harsh but it was a failure. Took a side that finished 6th under Cocu and finished 6th after adding Mount, Tomori and Harry Wilson to it and not losing anyone major.
Their transfer business under Lampard and the resulting finances were a big part of their problems off the field too. The aim was automatic promotion or bust, and it was the latter.

Frank Lampard did to Derby what the entire community of neoseeker said Harry was gunna do with us. Frank went and bust a Championship club whereas Redknapp gave me my favourite times as a club supporter. Opinions are like aresholes basically

I mean blaming a manager who was there for one season for the entire financial collapse of a club seems a bit strong to me but arguing about Frank Lampard even more seems like a poor decision
That also doesn't really sound like a failure to me after one season tbh

id take Marsch, think our squad suits him quite well. knows how to keep a team in the Prem as well, not that I'm expecting us to stay up now. think he'd be a decent manager to have in charge for a promotion push next season, whoever comes in next needs to be with relegation in mind, unless they go mental and chuck £10m at a top class manager for 3 months

The Southampton job is still free. Think he'd be a great fit there personally.

Just watching that ghoul Dharmesh from Sky talking to Conte about Pochettino and then Richarlison’s comments, I proper don’t understand the purpose of that. Is it just to see if you can rile him up? He’s not going to come out and give you anything worth your time is he?
I find the questions managers get asked when they’re under pressure to be proper gutter journalism that serves no purpose. There’s never anything positive like asking them what they might be able to do to get things back on track. I get Conte has been bad and will be gone but I feel sorry for him having to maintain professionalism while being asked about who could be replacing him

Vieira sacking seems harsh, no?

Right decision I think. They’ve only won once since the World Cup and they’ve been dropping points to teams around them. The bottom half is really tight where you’ve only got 5 points between 12th and bottom so they need to try and stop the slide I think
I liked what he did at first when he came in and tried to establish Palace as more of a possession based attacking team but they’ve got the joint second worst attack in the league and it’s been like watching them under De Boer again lately

However they've not exactly been haemorrhaging goals and that 'winless run' does includes draws with United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Brighton.
I get it, they've been rubbish to watch and have reverted to being overly reliant on Zaha. But the stats suggest swapping managers at this stage of the season rarely works.

Look at the run of games they've just had, there isn't a horrendous result among them. The lack of goals is an issue but that's not a Vieira thing, that's been Palace for years. They need to spend some money on a good striker. Really harsh imo. I watched most of their game vs Brighton and they should have won, missed several good chances and doubled Brighton's xG.
