No one can beat Italia 90 on the Mega Drive, pretty sure you could run away from the ref back then as well for a limited time.
James Pond does come close though, one of the best games ever.

Got to be the Sega Mega Drive, spent countless hours of my childhood playing the Sonic games. Still play them every now and them on me computer.

Best only game that comes to mind now for SNES was super Mario all stars and I think super Mario world or somethin like that was another the one where you could actually get yoshi out the egg an eat apples an shit as you went along the level That was my favourite game on the Snes. That was fucking awesome. I loved getting yoshi, eating the goombas etc. That game was the debut of the cape power up that enabled mario to fly I think. Is Super Mario Allstars the one that had like 4 games in one? Like Mario 1, 2, 3 and 'the lost levels' which was insanely hard? Is the N64 a retro console? The gameplay on some of those games still hold up in today's standards and are more fun. Particularly multiplayer.

I deemed retro any consoles before the ps1 so N64 and Dreamcast are even newer than that.

Going way back I had an Amiga 500 and a Commodore 64, only game I can remember playing on any of them is Golden Axe, which was damn good.
Played Super Mario and Duck Hunt on my cousin's NES loads and I still have my Mega Drive and all my games in the back of a cupboard.

Can't believe Spectrum only had 1 vote Got that for free with a load of games from my Mum's cousin around the same time as I got my PS1. I spent way more time on the Spectrum than the Playstation (granted, most of it was loading time). Chuckie Egg would still feature in my top 10 favourite games. A second shout for Gameboy too even though it isn't on the list.

Not retro enough. But I suppose it depends on your age. Anyway along with the GameCube it's up there with worst console ever. Doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the mega drive. Wow, I know its your opinion but my opinion is your opinion sucks. They were class consoles, just the timing of their release were all wrong, well more so the Dreamcast.

Tbh I thought the Dreamcast was awesome. Although that might be because it was my first ever console and will therefore always hold a place in my heart.

Lol I still remember when my big sister got a Sega Saturn and how amazed I was by the graphics of virtua fighter, Sega rally and panzer dragon. The Dreamcast was one I always wished I'd had, I had a friend who had one and I watches him play a bit of Shenmue 2 and it looked boss

Mega Drive was just too good, got endless amounts of fun out of it. Micro Machines was the shit, as were all the Sonic games had Brian Lara Cricket and Ice Hockey too which got massive amounts of play time.. SNES was pretty beasty too, Mario, Pitfall, and the most infuriating football game of all time 'International Superstar Soccer'.
Still have the them two, and the NES. Always fun to hook them up and have a bash on some old classics.
