a year ago he wouldn't have been far off. Yes has all the momentum right now , mainly because they're actually making an effort lol.
don't have much to back this up but i think yes has the majority of young voters at the moment... before the schools stopped there were debates around the country in schools, before the debates normally about 55-80% were No voters, after the same figure were Yes.
granted it's very very selective. I went to the one at my old school and Yes brought some major players for their side, No didn't and were by far less prepared than the Yes representatives.
Still don't think Yes will win, but it's going to be a lot closer than you might expect

So the leaders of the 3 main UK parties have signed a "pledge" to give Scotland "more powers" (unspecified) in 2015 if we vote No. That looks familiar... Politicians think the general public are idiots.

The debate was awful. Neither of them could give a straight answer for anything but Salmond especially didn't do himself any favours. This little girl stole the show

Anyone who listens to Salmond and still genuinely thinks he'd be a better option than voting No needs their heads checking. It's just a load of jabbering shouting with a vocal crowd cheering anything he says regardless of it's factual accuracy.
Hopefully either way the vote goes Salmond fucks off.

We're not voting for Salmond. We're voting for Independence and the opportunity to elect our own government, which isn't that likely to be Salmond/SNP. Factual accuracy really isn't something Darling excelled at either. He stated 7000 jobs were at risk by removing Trident from Scotland. Official MOD figures state there are 512 people's employment linked to Trident. He stated that countries without a central bank like Panama cannot run at a deficit. Panama do. He stated that the government has a history of overestimating projected oil revenues, they are infact consistently underestimated. His whole "performance" was terrible. Salmond put him on the back foot stating the "Plan B" options right off the bat. Darling's pre-prepared questions and closing statement all still focused on there being no "Plan B" presented, despite them being discussed 3 times through out the debate.

Darling's pre-prepared questions and closing statement all still focused on there being no "Plan B" presented, despite them being discussed 3 times through out the debate. You say 'we'. You may not be, but the vast majority of people I've seen and heard supporting the yes campaign are. He and Sturgeon are about as detestable a double act as Cameron and Osborne. Only have to listen to the baying audience members last night who were cheering the most mundane of passing comments from Salmond as if he'd promised them a free bar of gold each, or the jeers Darling faced as if he'd just called their grandparents cum-sipping arse bandits. The pair of them struggle with the facts, both are using different figures from different sources gathered with different motives in mind. They are politicians, after all. The argument lies with Salmond, he has to do enough to convince people to leave the union, and given that's his job, he's doing a frankly appalling job of it. As the figures have shown. The attempt to latch onto the "we can use the pound" and twist it massively out of context was utterly weak too.
