I used to love This is Football, I think it was the first one with Ferdinand on the front, it was class for diving.
World Cup USA 94' on the Master System was class, used to play Super Kick Off too.
On PC I played Actua Soccer Club Edition, that was probably the first football game I played that blew me away.
As for recent years there was one for the last world cup with Gerrard on the front, it was like 5 a side, can't remember the name but it was genuinely one of the worst games I think I've ever played. Luckily my Xbox is flashed so I didn't pay for it because if I did something would have got smashed.

Three Lions on PS1. I remember a little target came up when you went to shoot and your player sort of slowed down..so bad yet so good Loved that for the load up theme music and the fact you could elbow people. UEFA Striker was class. Played it constantly for about a year or two back in 2000-2001ish. Also Ronaldo V Football was immense.

Red Card was probably the best game ever invented. The fact you could have the LA S.W.A.T team taking on Dolphins on another planet was nothing short of amazing.

Only thing I remember about TIF was the R2 challenge you could do on one of the games, was fucking brutal and a straight red card every time lol.
Ronaldo v-football, remember 2 player co-op on that with a mate when I was a kid, quality stuff.
FIFA 09 Clubs was fairly obscure at the time it was out because not too many teams were playing it and you got to recognise most teams you played in a night, that was a great laugh.

I've just remembered another..I think it was called Adidas soccer or something...my biggest memory from it is you could do some powerful shot that if the goalie saved it the power would push the keeper back into the goal xD

How no similar game has been remade since is unacceptable. Also, not obsure, but the indoor arena on FIFA 96 was one of the greatest ideas in football gaming.

Yeah I mentioned Adidas power soccer in the OP. didn't have the best game play but the Kung fu kick and the predator shot were fun. The whole game felt like an advert for Adidas predator boots.

Toonami, first games I ever got. Loved Actua Soccer but then realised it was a pretty average game once I got my hands on Fifa and Pro Evo. Actua Golf was great fun, used to play it with by family. Commentary was quality on both of them. Two classic commentators, Peter Alliss and Barry Davies. Speaking of commentators, Brian Moore on Adidas Power Soccer anyone remember? He would say the most randomly brilliantly eloquent quotes during a match that had barely anything to do with it. Was nice in those days though you seemed to have so many options for football games. Now you have two options.
