Catch-22 is hands down my favourite novel. It's just genius man. Dunbar talking to Clevinger about slowing time down to make his life last longer is up there with the best passages of writing I've ever read.

Been reading The Wolf of Wall Street in work and still on Catch-22 at home - not had the opportunity to read too much of it but I'm back into it now. The latter has some absolutely hilarious conversations. The whole chapter about Major Major forging signatures and his confrontation with Yossarian is so funny. Doubt I'll ever read another book like it. It's very versatile too because there's quite a few melancholic moments there as well. It's written excellently.
Still though, I'm only about 130 pages in or so.

Aye, there's an entire section later on which is fucking hilariously well written, and then there's just one sentance which changes the entire perspective of the previous few pages. Insanely talented writer.

Insanely talented writer. Yeah there was a moment just like that when I read it last night. It goes from extremely funny to heavy-hearted but it all flows so so well together.

About to start Camille Paglia's Sexual Personae. Can't wait to discover that all of my deep-seated prejudices are inherently justified. In short, I'm about to enter the what shall henceforth be known as the 'Bastard' phase of my life. Come at me allah, #FreeBTS, Star of Spurs, etc.

Lads I need your help. I'm searching for the title of a book I once read. Google hasn't helped so far so you lot are my last hope haha
Las Vegas was one of the main settings for it iirc,it involved the movie business but was more of a crime/mafia novel and at the end of the book it has a couple of pagea dedicated to what happens to the charachters after the end of the story. One of these charachters is an actor who at the emd of the book gets his big break by starring in a low budget film that develops a cult following.
A bit of a long shot tbh
