Time for music that justifies my having of long hair: Deap Vally-Baby I Call Hell
2 women, 1 guitar, 1 drum, a shitload of awesome riffs
Beastmilk-Death Reflects Us
4 Finnish people make the kind of music you'd expect Finnish people to make.

Was it bollo that kept banging on about that antlers hospice album? It's class, thank you for bringing it into my life The gym generally plays terrible music, but there's been this one song that always plays while I'm having a shower and I really like it. Turns out it's Help Me Lose My Mind by Disclosure. Never listened to them before. Edit: On further inspection, it's the only one of their songs I liked. the hook on that is decent

@eric send your best depressing folk over yonder. I want something that could be comparable to Hospice but not so that I literally have to strain my breathing to hear because my headphones don't go loud enough haha
Seriously, since I've been home from uni (I relied on a flatmate to play decent music) I've just reverted back to Gaslight Anthem, Bon Iver and Manchester Orchestra all christmas long.

If you want depressing folk try American Football, Midwest Emo is essentially the same thing.

Hmm, to be honest there's not much up there that's as bleak as The Antlers haha. But listen to Diamond Mine by King Creosote & Jon Hopkins. Lovely, wintery/depressing folk album. Very personal album. Zack will back me up on it. Also if you haven't checked out Two Gallants before you should. They're quite a similar style of band as Manchester Orchestra, only they're a two piece.

Waves of grain by two gallants is one of my favourite songs, excellent band. I have been totally out of the loop music wise for the last year or so but I'd still recommend chuck ragan (first album) Austin Lucas, sundowner, Sam Russo (older ep's).
Everyone should also listen to bad astronaut.

Loving that heaviness, much heavier than anything on the last album. Could be album of the summer!
